I'm disappointed with Team 5 at the moment with the current event, and I want to express it by joking about how much of the new event will consist of adding new exciting things to buy in the shop!!! (the shop is now the main part of the game).
But I don't want to be negative about something that has historically been a fun event, so fingers crossed it will be good!
As others said, leave 2 wins on an active arena run.
Come on Team 5 - you got this it will be great!!!!
Have to agree with Regis - though at least in his case it makes sense as he is a streamer so the cost is far outweighed by twitch/youtube. As he said, even he wasn't keen on spending real money and wasn't having fun.
For most of us without ultimate skill and/or luck:
I suppose there was also Battlegrounds changes, but they happen all the time anyway and I don't even play Battlegrounds (though I know lots of people like it).
Surely this is the least generous event ever.
Blizzard you want my gold? Enable wild adventures to be able to be purchased with gold not only $$$ then at least I can do them on my NA and Asia accounts. Then we can talk - otherwise I'll just hang on to it until next expansion particularly considering the uncertainty surrounding the upcoming battle pass (yes I read your assurances but I'll wait to see the specifics of what's implemented and decide for myself from there).
I agree - you'd need somewhere between an 85.7 - 100 percent winrate.
No free ticket, so us mere mortals won't be playing for top players to get their early wins against meaning they'll mostly just face each other.
I guess streamers and other content creators might be going for it but I doubt they'll be lots 12 of win runs considering the overall size of the playerbase.
Rather have a free pack than this. Repeat random brawls aren't always super fun but at least you can complete quests in them. Guess it's casual for me this week :(
I'm glad it was free, and I did find the first run through enjoyable except the second fight where you have hardly any minions.
Playing through the other 2 times (I play on 3 regions) was a bit tiresome primarily because there a lot of dialogue in between games you can't skip. So sometimes the closing, between game and opening dialogue means you are simply waiting for over a minute to play next game.
A heroic mode where you draft your own deck would have been nice too.
I think there's a marked difference between obscure bugs that didn't show up during testing, and those that should have been found and never been in the shipped update (client or server).
Some ultra niche obscure bugs that are only found by memers playing very creative janky decks for fun, I think fair enough. But obvious bugs that prevent a brawl being completed (as has happened in the past) that should easily have been found are less understandable.
I don't necessarily blame the development or Q&A teams if they weren't given proper time and resources by management to do the job properly. But there has been a significant decline in overall quality of what's released for over a year now.
Battleground bugs were to be expected at least in part as it was a new game mode that was outside the scope of the initial design scope. I'm also inclined to be a bit more understanding due to the pandemic currently and the effect it's had on the internal working of Team 5.
Let's hope those in charge try to address these problems so once again bugs become rare and obscure.
I have to agree - nice to know what's happening, but most of the things won't apply to me:
- 3 different paid offerings
- Battlegrounds
- Brawliseum (though I'll play the one we get for free).
Will play the free solo content which might be fun.
Lots of people love battlegrounds, and many will buy the premium bundles etc which helps finance the game etc so not complaining, just from a rewards standpoint the event is less generous than previous events.
How have you come to that conclusion?
Interesting. Playing on PC - will try that next adventure - thanks :)
Should be fun - can we skip the dialogue though if we want to? Replaying on multiple regions gets a bit wearing otherwise :P

So if we don't get a free initial run, this exciting new event means we actually *lose* a pack reward compared to every other normal week.
I'll be glad when this event is over. Bring back Midsummer Fire Festival for double gold for 2 weeks, or the gold + dust quests :)
There will be. Major event with *5* new things added for you to buy in the shop! :P
Plus a new brawl that costs $10 a shot! Oh wait that's in this "event".
Agreed.
I miss the 2 and even 3 week events where we got double gold, gold + dust quests or even free packs every day.
Those were the days.

Still it's a minor complaint for free stuff.
At least the games tend to be quick, unlike the discover a card every turn random brawls.
Pity timer does NOT apply to golden packs.

Doesn't even seem to be the same person.
Face different esp. chin.
Seems some, ahem, physical enhancement was carried out. Unfortunately that likely was reason for present day Jania got nerfed.
I wonder if this explains this strangeness that happened to me earlier:
Edit: ah looks like related to https://outof.cards/hearthstone/587-new-hearthstone-currencies-possibly-coming-arcane-orbs-runestones instead and others have seen similar on reddit for some time now occasionally.

Thanks for this - I used this on NA, EU and Asia 2 of which were first try wins.
Give me original Jania back before her portrait was nerfed!
Ah fair enough. I don't think there was one last week either but checking just now there was the week before that.
Thanks for answering :)
