Quite strong card, especially if we get more lackey generators
Yup. I assume we're going to, right? How cruel would that be to give warlock this card and the 3/3 5/5 but no more generators.
That said...I wonder if you play this anyway. No doubt it's super cool. but in a deck that will almost certainly be tempo oriented, this is a lot of investment for a payoff that may only happen once or twice for the rest of the game. I guess we'll have to see what the remaining generator looks like. It probably has to give you at least 2 lackeys for me to think about this card.
This seems like the first whiff from hunter this set. I assume the locust is a beast (I can't find it for sure), (it is a beast) but I don't think it matters. This card costs 1 too many mana.
Edit: I just noticed this is a legendary. What the heck? This card screams packfiller common. Why would you do this to people, Blizzard? Who on earth is going to be happy cracking one of these open? Big yikes.
Hahaha - this was my same reaction. This looks like it should have been a common card.
I don't really like it. Can't quite put my finger on it, but the card seems rather clunky and awkward to use, and I can easily imagine situations where one half of the card text or the other is going to be a nuisance.
Now sure, it can be argued that that's a design feature, just like with UI, but this is nowhere near as powerful so I don't think it was warranted. I would've preferred this as a slightly cheaper choose one spell.
Yeh - it's not great, but the free taunt guy helps a lot, IMO.
If you're playing the quest (which I think is probably the only non-token direction to go), and you're playing off curve until turn 6, you're probably going to need something like this (plus the taunt guy) to try and stabilize.
This sucks the sting out of having to play Nourish, etc. It's another card I think they could have pushed the stats on and it would have been fine. Still unsure about big-ish druid right now, but this is a step in the right direction. Playing Overflow into this is pretty cool.
I don't think this is played in a The Forest's Aid deck, unless that build is completely overhauled.
I actually wonder if the mech tag makes it worse. Why would you want to run this with Kangor's Endless Army? If you get a mech to magnetize with it initially, ok. But then it's reborn (no enhancements) and you have a crummy 1/2 mech in your pool for the resurrection effect.
Now maybe in a zoo Paladin deck... this can help buff other smaller minions. But again, I'm not sure that is really going to work.
I find all the Paladin card reveals to be so disappointing. There is no consistent theme. And the Paladin Quest looks like trash based on the current pool of neutral and Paladin reborn cards.
You almost certainly don't play this in the same deck as KEA.
I think this is played in the quest deck, and only because it's a Crystology reborn target. It's pretty bad. I agree, the Paly quest needs a lot of help, and this isn't doing it.
Let’s just fondly remember that you were the prodigy that thought gallery priest was better without gallery.
then you lost a shit ton. Asked for help. Got help. Was too embarrassed about how fucking terrible you were. And then you asked for the thread to be closed.
You're intentionally misconstruing arguments to make yourself look smart. It's obviously fucking bad but it's still the only good priest deck in the format. I'm done with you.
None of that says control. Highest cost card is Zilliax, and it doesn't run AOE.
Good catch. I thought we were discussing ladder viable decks. One sec, I haven't uploaded my Beast Pirate Priest deck, we need to talk about how Grandmummy impacts that.
Shut the fuck up dude and take your shit somewhere else. If VS isn't good enough for you, I guess you're too good a player for this site.
For all you downvoting, the chances this buffs two minions is almost zero. When is the last time we got excited about Zoo Priest and were right?
That was my point above - it doesn't need to buff twice. Buffing once still makes this card 3/4 stats on turn 2 because the 2nd buff is almost guaranteed.
You get to the real issue in your second sentence - what is this deck?
I'd argue that the current iteration of DS/IF priest is basically a "zoo" that uses DS/IF as it's burst finish. This card can go into something like that. And the new legendary further pushes this idea out there.
If you don't get any value from the deathrattle, this is similar to Cloakscale Chemist. How often will the buff hit?
That argument can be made about almost every card - "If X is stopped, it is bad." (For my old school YGO people, BTH > BLS.)
In reality, the effect should proc often enough, if you build your deck for it. You aren't just throwing this into some random deck that doesn't have reasonable 1 and 2 drops to go with it.
Priest still has one of the only broken 1 drops left in the game. And this card only makes Cleric better.
but how often are you really getting the whole 4/5 stats?
You also don't need to get the max 4/5 out of this. Getting 1 proc from the buff (which should virtually be assured since you will be able to play a minion then pop this one off) is probably enough.
I think people are thinking too hard about this card.
Meh - It's fine. Not really constructed viable, though.

Now that Nourish is basically garbage, this card fills a need. I think we still need to see better ramp, but this can be part of the puzzle.
Very cool card. The mana cost on this thing is amazing.
Approximately, this guy: Master Swordsmith but with Reborn.
Mech tag is nice, I guess.
Crystology synergy is okay, I guess.
I think this is another card they could have pushed either on stats or effect and it would be okay.
Super cute, and I like his card art...but now I'm talking about card art...
That's pretty good...and that's saying a lot for a 3-mana 2/2 weapon.

Please do

Can we get an ignore button?

This card has so many insane combos, it almost has to be okay.
