Descent of Dragons is Hearthstone's 13th expansion and is set to release on December 10, 2019.

Pre-order bundles return, with more card packs than usual (60 & 100)!
Every class will be getting a legendary Dragon! In fact, this expansion will have the most Dragons out of any set.
New Keyword: Invoke - Upgrade the mighty Galakrond! Playing these cards will also cast his Hero Power. Galakrond and Invoke cards will not be available in Arena (source).
New Keyword: Sidequests - Similar to quests except they don't start in your hand and can be played alongside active quests. Sidequests will be available in Arena (source).
New Mechanic: Explorers - Dragon cards for the non-evil classes which Discover a Dragon alongside another, class-themed effect.
New Mechanic: Breaths - Spells that make use of Dragon-holding mechanics to power-up their effects.
A solo adventure will be launching in January 2020. It is linear rather than a dungeon run.
More free stuff than ever before including 5 Legendaries.

Based on its wording it heavilly implies that it summons a fresh copy. Also every minion that goes dormant said so in the past. Waxadred does not, further supporting this theory.
It definitely seems like a very strong card that will 100% see play, one way or another imho. And since N'zoth is still going to be in Standard when this releases, i'd imagine we will see some new deathrattle rogue variations. How competitive those will be, i guess we'll see :)
They cant really "not force" new game modes on you, if they want to invest a lot of resources into them and make them good. I get where you're coming from, but at the same time, ur a bit selfish in that regard.
No, the targets are random unless there are Taunts. But it does matter if you can attack with a minion before it gets "sniped" by the opponent, or before a minion that is buffing your board or provides extra effects, for example like Khadgar in the gameplay video, dies. It can change the coarse of the entire combat.
Im not gonna say that this will be a rocket science, but it will have a decent enough strategy depth imho.
I dont think anything like that was revealed yet. I would say probably not. At least not yet.
But i dont see how this wont become extremely popular, so i think they will build upon it, might even make some tournaments later.
Will it really though? With all the recent autobattlers being released already the market for them seems rather oversaturated.
It will be pretty easy to pick up for HS players, since the minions you know are same, keywords and effects work the same. HS has a huge playerbase and this provides very quick games.
Also there seem to be a gold gain of some kind, 10g for 3 games, most likely towards the daily 100g limit. You can bet your booty that ppl will grind this for gold over regular ladder imho, if this ends up being true, which will help its popularity. Hope they add some daily quests too.
I'll play this once. If I remember correctly, it takes FOREVER since you and your opponent both have to Discover at the start of each turn. Obviously, some crazy combos are possible, and that would be fun. Not necessarily worth a replay.
Here's a fun way you can play this with a friend though: you both have to automatically select the middle option (or left or right) without pausing to consider. Game goes faster, and you're both stuck with random stuff.
I remember the Raven Idol one, and it takes FOREVERx10 lol
Yeah, sometimes, when my opponent is roping me for no reason at all, and you can tell, i give them the taste of their own medicine and then some.
I play out my turn right away and then dont end it, leaving the rope to burn to the last second, so it is very clear as to what i am doing.
They usually get annoyed back after a turn or two and start to play normally, but it is too late. I rope them till the end. Sometimes they get so annoyed they concede 😊
Maybe they will think twice before being dicks next time 🤔
