I have been playing No Man's Sky and enjoying it quite a bit. The Corvette update was a great addition that "relaunched" the game to a lot of new players and I hope they keep expanding it. They have been for almost 10 years, for free, and made the game quite a bit better. So if you like space exploration and ship building, give it a try :)
Outlaws - lol, i have completely forgotten about this game, but hearing "Where are you Marshal?" all the memories are coming back :D Played it as a kid as a random "cowboy shooter", didnt know any English, didnt know what the hell was happening or what am i supposed to do. But i knew every position of every baddie in that first town, i learned to clear it like it was a swat training exercise :D I must get this and finally learn what the story was all about lol!
Im still playing The Bazaar. They fixed up the most issues the community had with the monetization and progress of the game after 1 month of full release and it has been a blast since. Highly encourage anyone who is thinking about trying it but isnt sure going for it. 13th August will start a new season and I think they will release a new hero (5th one), so either jump in right now to learn the ropes, or wait for new season and start on the hype train :)
It has been a while since I played Minecraft :D Need to get back to it as some point! I can attest Biomes O' Plenty is a great mod that adds so many varied biomes to your game! Must have! ;-)
About the hero list suggestion, I included my reasoning why I put those heroes in those tiers and also I'm saying that it is ultimately on each alliance to come up with their preferred list of joiner heroes based on what they think is right based on their experience and informed decision.
I know that Mia has been vocally advertised online and in most "rally leader hero" guides for years now, but I dont exactly agree with that. Simply based on my own experience. Im not saying she is bad at being used like that, but there are caveats to it and not just "Mia, any Star Level, and Widget level = good". No. But I dont actually list "Rally leader" heroes by generation on purpose, because this area is extremely subjective and reliant to a unique situation of every player and i really dont like the lists flying around online without and further explanation because it gives people a false sense of what they should do in their unique situation. Thats why I just try to explain what they should be looking out for and decide for themselves.
Similar with her being a good or bad joiner hero. The chance for the skill to trigger is a problem. You see it in a vacuum, and thats nice and all, but you should look at it from a real situation perspective.
While when she triggers, the damage boost is amazing, but when she doesnt, it is as if you used Charlie. And it might average out and in the end be on par with the S tier heroes, but that is the problem, how are you going to achieve that it does average in the end? You would have to have everyone using Mia, so that all rallies would be eventually averaged out, otherwise unlucky people could keep getting into a rally in which the skill didnt proc and others into rallies in which it did. So with that added RNG, I simply cannot recommend her as one of the best joiners because in my experience it is
a) difficult for everyone to join with her properly, and even if they did, they might still come as later joiner and her skill wouldnt matter and you would create "uneven" rallies for the purpose of averaging them all out,
and b) it just opens a can of worms of "if this RNG hero, why not this RNG hero?". It is already difficult enough for an average alliance to get their players to listen to the basic instructions, adding this "confusion/chaos/uncertainty" on top of it is not advisable,
and c) from my understanding (not personal testing), chance based skills do not stack as flat passives do. They might, at best, increase a chance of it triggering. So then you add another layer of complexity and the need to monitor every rally if only one Mia is being used for the joiner bonus because if two or more are, then your total damage will most likely be much lower.
But I am returning to what I said at the beginning - ultimately it is on every alliance to agree on a hero list based on their preferences and the ability to have their members follow that list or not.
Same goes for the reason behind A tier heroes - yes, they provide about 40% less bonus than S-tier heroes (15 vs 25), but that bonus is a flat increase without and RNG and that is still pretty good. And there is an added "bonus" that most players who are not spenders will not even have these heroes at 4-Star, meaning they will not have a Level 5 skill meaning they can be overwritten by a later joiner. If some of your whales have them at Level 5, you can just talk to them and ask them not to use them, if you dont agree with it. But better a 9-12% increase than nothing.
I really liked the game from the start when it was fresh and new and plenty to do. But sadly, the game model as built around a HUGE grind which I believe is the reason the game failed. There were probably other reasons, but surely this was one of them.
Maybe they build it with WOW nostalgia in mind and thought the oldschool grinders would love it, but i think they grossly miscalculated and this is the result. Sad, but oh well.
I have used Nexus Mods for over a decade. Lots of my favorite games were made even better, more fun and renewed spark thanks to mods. But to be honest, I never knew or cared "who" was behind the site, I was just thankful that such a place existed. So reading this, it gives me some perspective, also speaking from a position here on Out of Games, and I can relate to some extent. Basically what I am trying to say, thank you Nexus Mods for the joy and fun you provided me over the years. Hope to see you around and thriving some more, and for the former owner to get much deserved rest.
Hell yeah! I can personally recommend Enderal. Superb overhaul mod for Skyrim. Will give you a completely new story and SUPER vast world to explore.
I might have played HOMAM3 Horn of the Abyss in the past, but I dont quite remember, will have to try and test it again. But anything HOMAM3 related is amazing. Wake of Gods mod is another great example.
Iv been playing The Bazaar and am having quite a lot of fun. There are still some bugs here and there, but they largely fixed the performance issues and monetization and the game is in a very good state right now. If anyone stayed away due to various reasons in the past, i encourage you to give it a try now ;-)
At the top are heroes that have a 1st expedition skill that provide flat attack or bonus damage, or a debuff, to the Bear. And put into lower tiers heroes with chance-based skills and into the last tier heroes that have no useful skill or their skill is too gimmicky for bear.
I am not claiming that this is one truth to rule them all, I explained my reasons for listing the heroes as they are now in the respective section ;-)
I dont know. I have not followed it all that time. Just got a random youtube video recommend when Closed Beta was suddenly announced last November. Been following it via watching youtube since there and I loved the gameplay. And must say I love it still after playing it.
But the controversy with the pay model is real. Guess we will see how they go about it.
I really hope they learned their lesson and make the game mode more accessible. It is useless to make a great overhaul, if the entry fee is too high and only selected few will play it.
It is a space exploration game, but people have made planes, tanks, even churches as space ships :D Maybe you could make a Chevy too :D

Oooooh, I really hope The Guild and Gothic Remake are going to deliver. Cant wait!

Hi, thanks for the kind words.

No worries, maybe my answer was a bit cold, sorry about that.

Loved the trailer lol :D Hope this will be good! Need to get around finishing the first game, oops!
Awesome game! Can recommend :)

Ouch, one would hope for more for sure. Did you at least get some good ones you can use?
Good luck with pack openings :)
