I think this will prove hard to corrupt as having this in hand plus your one to two 10 cost cards looks inconsistent. Even with Survival of the Fittest, you have to spend an entire turn to set up Carnival Clown.

The effect lends itself best to the corrupt mechanic as you don't mind hanging onto removal until an ideal scenario. This combined with Tickatus makes for a powerful Y'Shaarj, the Defiler package in Warlock.

I think Druid has late game swings covered with Guardian Animals, Anubisath Defender, and now Strongman. The discount with Umbral Owl might be too slow when you compare it to the mentioned cards that provide an immediate discount to 0 mana. Also, Druid wants potentially cheap removal in the early game when they are weakest, which Owl cannot reliably accomplish for the main Druid decks right now.

Compared to Grim Rally, I actually think Wicked Whispers is contextually worse. First, Grim Rally could take advantage of deathrattle minions, so the downside of removing one of your own minions is actually an upside. Second, Wicked Whispers removes hand resources. The only good target you'll be able to reasonably discard is Boneweb Egg, which means most of the time you're discarding a potentially valuable resource to continue pushing aggression. Overall, I just don't see much of a competitive reason to run Whispers in Zoolock.

Definitely slower than Mad Scientist of old, but still a great way of thinning out your deck and enabling secret synergies. I think Highlander Hunter will run this, and Secret Mage will want to run it as well, although I'm skeptical of the latter archetype's competitive viability.

Basically an 8 mana version of Animated Avalanche with additional upside. Despite how much stats Avalanche is on turn 7, it rarely saw play due to how inconsistent elementals are, and I don't think Confection Cyclone and Gyreworm will help Grand Finale's case that much.

While this is a powerful effect, I don't think there are enough competitively viable elementals for this to see play. This makes more sense in Mage as they have the most elemental synergy, but I don't think the deck is consistent enough to be competitively viable.

This is basically the fastest corrupt card in terms of the corrupt benefit. Very akin to Arcane Tyrant and Anubisath Defender in that it allows you to justify playing your high cost cards as you get a 6/6 taunt to catch up or further cement your lead. I think [Hearthstone Card (Strongarm) Not Found] will be a staple in any Y'Shaarj, the Defiler deck.

It only takes 2 rush attacks for this to become Eviscerate to the enemy hero with a 1/4 body. However, I've found that building around E.T.C. is difficult and it should only go into Warrior decks that are tempo based and naturally have a lot of rush minions. I think Galakrond Warrior with N'Zoth has a good chance of seeing play, and I've made room for E.T.C. there with Scion of Ruin.

This is a great top end card that can be easily found with Lorekeeper Polkelt in an aggressive Secret Mage deck. My only issue is that I'm not sure Secret Mage as a deck is consistent enough in tempo for it to be really competitive, but regardless of that Sayge is a centerpiece for that synergy.

While this is a great follow up to a turn 3 secret play with Kirin Tor Mage and Inconspicuous Rider, I have my concerns as to how often the secret will remain in play for Occult Conjurer, especially when your opponent knows that it's a possible turn 4 play. I'm also concerned that Secret Mage as a whole with all of the revealed cards doesn't have enough consistent tempo to be competitive, but I do not deny just how good a turn 4 play Conjurer is.

While this does go counter to Eaglehorn Bow, [Hearthstone Card (Ringling's Rifle) Not Found] still looks good when compared to a weapon like Desert Spear. The power behind Rifle is being able to choose a secret that best matches the board state in the given turn, which isn't a consistent power secrets from hand or deck offer. Considering how this also puts secrets into play for Petting Zoo, I see this in at least Highlander Face Hunter with all of the new secret synergy pieces.

Very similar and I'd argue even better than Hydrologist, which saw decent play in Paladin back in the day. Mystery Winner helps you curve out by giving you a turn two play, sort of like Fire Fly, and also helps add more secrets to increase the power of Petting Zoo. A guaranteed inclusion in at least Highlander Face Hunter, which I imagine will run all of these new secret support cards.

The Curator for 2 mana less and drawing more relevant minion types for the class is great. Considering how we now have N'Zoth, God of the Deep and Circus Amalgam to help enable Whatley, I think this will definitely find a deck in Warrior. I've found room for Whatley in a N'Zoth Galakrond Warrior that I'm excited about.

A very powerful token generator to be sure, but the issue with token DH isn't that they don't have enough token generators. The main issue with the archetype is that there isn't a consistent payoff for running token cards in your deck. There still isn't one with all of the cards revealed, and I don't see Expendable Performers seeing play until one gets introduced.

Resurrect effects tend to work best with efficient defensive minions, like Khartut Defender. However, Jewel of N'Zoth is in Hunter, which cares more about aggression and the deathrattle minions, like Darkmoon Tonk, also enourage aggression. Considering this, I think that Jewel is too slow for Hunter and perhaps too inconsistent with the current set of Hunter cards in Standard.

Only Oblivitron and Maxima Blastenheimer can cheat this out. Otherwise, Darkmoon Tonk is super slow and allows your opponent to either silence or transform it, or put minions into play to then remove and absorb the deathrattle. I just don't think the card is consistent enough on its own to make the occasional high roll of cheating out the Tonk worth it.

I think that the discount is hard to achieve considering how difficult it is for a bunch of specific, unique tribal minions to stay on your board. Also, Warrior has other considerable dragons with Deathwing, Mad Aspect and Evasive Wyrm, the latter of which is like a Tent Trasher, but can keep the body while trading better.

It's Dyn-o-matic without the body, which I'd argue is relevant since the removal is more relevant in the early turns of the game. Very similar to Dark Skies, which is very efficient removal and Minefield is too for the cost. It only makes sense in a Control Warrior deck, which Bomb Warrior is at the moment. I see that archetype cutting either Sword and Board or Whirlwind to make room for this.

Considering all of the cards in this set, I don't think there are enough ways to cheat out big minions to make a Maxima Blastenheimer deck consistent enough. There aren't enough good big minions as well as enough minion summon spells and good weapons to make the Big Hunter deck akin to something like Spell Hunter of old. Maybe Maxima will work in the future with more support.
