You're literally posting on a site that has other card games you can consider trying in its place, if you like. But no one could fault you if you just drop the genre entirely. I don't suggest jumping cold turkey into Magic, as it's also very expensive. I've never played Mythgard. Runeterra is pretty good though.
Tahm Kench is not taking over the meta. He's the irritating uncle that most of the family doesn't really like, but just because he's annoying.
Word of advice - stop trying to kill him and just run him over. Tahm Kench's deck (yes, only one deck that he works in) has almost nothing in it with 3 strength or more, so you can smack him silly with Fearsome units. Kaboom! Fearsome units might as well be elusive against Tahm-raka, because almost nothing in the deck can block them.
I assume he means that a card game got nominated, and it wasn't Hearthstone. But since the mobile version of HS is pretty bad anyways, I'm not sure how it would ever have gotten nominated, no matter the quality of the gameplay. The issues involved in playing HS on mobile are numerous.
I'm a little bit surprised I'm wasting 10 seconds of my life responding to your rude posts (responding to this one, but also referring to your other one), but you may want to look at the header of this fansite again, as well as its name. See Hearthstone anywhere in the name or web address? I see "Out of CARDS." I look at the header and I see (in addition to Hearthsone) Legends of Runeterra, Magic the Gathering, and Mythgard. And the forums have a section for Eternal.
So you can stop being rude now. I have plenty of reason to be on this site, even if I hated Hearthstone with every fiber of my being (which I don't, incidentally ... I did love playing it, once upon a time). It's just sad to realize how much worse it is than nearly all of its competitors, and the only reason it keeps its current players is because they have too much time and money invested to feel like they can stop, no matter how poorly they are treated.
I've been playing almost every day since the new system's launch, for about 3-4 hours, and I'm only at Rank 21. My quest trays are constantly empty after the first two days, I think I finished the weekly quests that quick. I think they need to provide more quests instead of just giving one daily, especially for players who manage to finish everything quickly.
While I appreciate the frontloaded rewards, they're just not enough, and the extremely slow progress of leveling up is just really demotivating. The only thing keeping me going right now is my quest to get the 1000-win portraits for Warrior (901 wins) and Demon Hunter (723); other than that, playing for little reward other than fun seems pretty bad. I mean, fun is good, but I've invested heavily in this game so I expect a bit more in return.
That sounds pretty miserable. How much un-fun would you have to have before you considered trying one of the other games featured on this site?
I'm done with HS, most likely for good. I had actually only just started dipping back into the HS waters after many months away, and then this happened. Combined with the fact that I don't care for the simplistic gameplay, this whole fiasco has made me not want to give any more time or attention to the game.
I'll probably even try to actively recruit my neighbor away from HS as well, over to LoR. He very recently started playing it again, kinda like me, and was wanting me to get back into it with him. I'll probably try to get him into LoR instead, since it's way more friendly to its players, communicates way better, has far better cosmetics, and the gameplay is so much better that you can hardly even make meaningful comparisons.
Before I start, I'm going to make it clear that I'm not for or against the new system because I don't know how my net gold or rewards will look at the end of this expansion cycle.
- I am currently level 18 (with the XP boost from purchasing) while only playing ~1-2 hours a day so that means, according to this table found here, that I have earned at least 23,400 experience in three days by doing dailies, weeklies, and random achievement bonuses. That being said, an expansion cycle is (typically) 4 months/~120 days. So if we do the math; 23,400 divided by 3 is 7,800. Now multiply that by 120 and we get 936,000, which according to the graph table listed above puts me at maxing out the rewards track. If my math is wrong please correct me, and I'm not making a case for the rewards track, I'm just putting out what I (super capitalized) have gotten to and what I might get to by the end of this cycle.
When the new track was released they filled out our quest bar with 3 normal quests and 3 weeklies (I think that includes the duels quest which awards scholomance packs). So technically you're counting the xp gained in the last 3 days using a metric where you've fully completed 5 dailies and 3 weeklies. Wouldn't be representative
Disclude the achievements xp. Its one time only and its a pain in the arse to complete. I wouldn't use it as a metric anyway.
To properly calculate it, just imagine a week's worth of quest plus a decent amount of playtime xp. The math is readily available in reddit if you're interested. Just add in your 10% boost.
Its not possible to max out without playing at least 5 hours a day. Even with the boost I'm sure its impossible to achieve without committing like full time to it.
Agreed with this. @griffior - do those calculations again at the start of next week, when you don't have the front-loaded dump of all sorts of extra exp to get started. THAT will be the accurate metric of how much exp you will get daily
Let's suppose you kill Greybough, and his deathrattle attaches to Lucentbark. Lucentbark then dies. I'm 100% sure that the now-dormant Lucentbark is just a normal Lucentbark - when he comes back, he will not still have Greybough attached to him.
I haven't played much HS since April, with the new changes. I did rank up a bit at that point to get some of the first-time rewards, but I don't remember where I stopped ranking up.
Can anyone tell me the answer to this question: are there still first-time rank-up rewards? Do they exist? I'm asking because I feel pretty confident that I never reached Diamond 5 since the new system was put in place. Just got there now. And I got nothing for it, other than the usual epic being added to my chest. Did they discontinue the first-time rewards? I assumed that those first-time rewards were a permanent addition that would always be there for everyone to get the first time they reach a new rank floor.
Wait, is a 1 cost 6/6 busted or something? I thought it was just 4 cost 7/7 that's busted. Oh, and it has rush too? I don't see a problem here ...
Seriously though, this is by far the most obvious power-creep I've ever seen from a HS expansion, across the board. So, maybe in the end Bearded Lady, I mean Bladed Lady, is just run-of-the-mill busted, since basically the whole expansion is busted.
As you mentioned, though, Hammer of the Naaru curves right into Carousel Gryphon, leaving two more mana leftover for whatever 2-cost spell or unit you want to play at that point. Puts 14/14 stats of taunt, plus requiring a ping to get rid of the Divine Shield, and 9 weapon attack value over 3 turns. Not including whatever you do with your 2 leftover mana.
Heck, if your opponent has no taunt minions, this is nearly lethal face damage represented just by these two cards alone.
This is exactly correct. This card is a 3/5 that draws 3 cards for a mere 5 mana. And it doesn't even just draw random cards - it draws specific ones. All you need to do in order to make this card very good is having two copies each of a specific dragon, pirate, and mech.
This is so much better than Curator could ever have hoped to be. Not even a contest.

Hearthstone had its heyday. It's finished now. Meanwhile, there are MUCH better CCG's (collectible card games) out there, like LoR or Eternal.

Players- The math doesn't add up. You're wrong about your promises.
Blizzard- Pay no attention to the numbers behind the curtain. It's all the same as before. We swear!

I doubt they are thinking of Doomhammer with this particular legendary, seeing as it already has windfury.
Thanks for the reply! Most likely I'll go for legend, which I know for a fact I never got since the new system was put into place.

It's absolute worst case scenario is draw a card. It's best case is "play 6 3/3's and draw 6."
Honestly, I might consider popping back into Hearthstone for the first time in 6 months, just to try wild dude paladin with the new cards.
As you mentioned, though, Hammer of the Naaru curves right into Carousel Gryphon, leaving two more mana leftover for whatever 2-cost spell or unit you want to play at that point. It's not very deceptive. It's just straight up absurdly powerful.

They are almost certainly "Casts When Drawn," so yes, they would cast when drawn. And probably also draw replacements as well.
