Feedback would be very welcome and pretty pretty please somebody tell me the effect qualifies!
Unfortunately, we've come to the conclusion that it does not qualify. It's similar to how we feel about Coldlight Oracle: the effect involves their deck, certainly, but you're not really interacting with it.
Sometimes Blizzard itself reuses art from single-player experiences or their special Arena event, so I think it would be fine. It's not like we're going to give you the boot for doing that.
Conduit - Echoing what the others have said, it's weird to have the "corrupted" version of Benedictus in the same set as the original. I'm also not entirely sure what the intended use-case of this card is: Archbishop Benedictus is used to stave off fatigue, but what's the goal of giving them so many cards?
shaveyou - I definitely prefer Incitus over Roaring Inferno. The latter is just too destructive: I know you have to pull them for them to do anything, but it's still a 3-mana "your opponent discards three cards" which seems insane.
Wailor - Doomsaya seems fine. The effect is mirrored, but any deck that wants to run Din'ju probably doesn't care much about their side anyway. It's a control thing. I see this as punishment against someone who can draw through their deck fast, and/or combined with a mill deck (eww, gross). "Prophecy" is spelled wrong, although I don't know if you did that on purpose or not :P
thepowrofcheese - I think it's a little redundant with Ancient Harbinger being in the same set, but I do like it. It creates an interesting battle between the decks, as-to who brought the bigger gun.
Hordaki - There's nothing wrong with this idea, per se, but it does overlap significantly with Sightless Watcher from a creative level. I feel you may lose some points for that.
Pokeniner - Forcing a dead draw is kind of mean; at least an Albatross is a 1/1 they can use. Maybe because it's a one-of you can get away with it. I'm not sure how I feel about this card. Sorry, I know that's not helpful :/
I came up with three ideas, all in the name of pulling a minion from your opponent's deck on purpose:
Burning Chainwhip is a little better than Arcanite Reaper but your first swing must go toward clearing a minion. Interestingly, you could attack first with your Hero Power or something then equip the weapon for a second attack in the same turn.
Toxic Longtongue is pretty straight-forward: pull a minion out with his tongue and kill it!
Switch Teams does just that: you get one of their minions and they get one of yours. Fill your deck with less-than-great minions and win via the memes.
Who do you think the final Champion for Bilgewater will be?
Based on the datamined sound files, it's either Miss Fortune or Tahm Kench. One of them A. is way more popular, and B. had a voice clip at the end of the Bilgewater video. Naturally this must mean Tahm Kench is next.
I think it is Twisted Fate because Miss Fortune has a line for him when he enters the board, and he says something back. They could have made the voice line in advance for a future expansion, of course, but it suggests that Twisted Fate is coming.
Not that I have a problem being wrong, though; I really like Tahm Kench.
Btw, since I'm still pretty new to this, what happens if I or someone else submitted a card that had the same design? Would they be disqualified? I don't think it's fair for someone to submit a card early and get lower scores because someone else submitted a card later that did the same thing. There's no way of knowing, of course. It could be just a coincidence.
There's a lot of gray area with these things, as-to whether or not it's a coincidence when cards feature a very similar design. For example, to be fair to the "Dormant for 2 turns" people, it is a prominent feature of the most recent expansion, one in which we also saw the return of Rogue Secrets. That could explain its prevalence.
The other thing is that a number of people who submit don't use our Discussion thread (although we sure wish they would!). For those of us who do, we see peoples' concepts and think "welp, that idea is taken", but the people who don't come to the thread don't see that a person has essentially called "dibs" on a particular idea. Are they swiping the idea for themselves, or did they simply come up with the same thing and didn't notice? It's hard to know the difference, especially for a common idea like the aforementioned Dormant cards. I feel bad for the thread-users who get placed in this position, but I also don't believe we should disqualify the others who came up with a similar concept...just yet, anyway (unless we knew for a fact that they stole the idea, of course). It's something we have to keep an eye on.
TL;DR: We'll most likely give everyone a pass on this one because "Dormant for X turns" is a part of the latest expansion and people want to utilize the new hotness. If this happened to someone with a very unique concept, red flags would be raised and we would get together to discuss it. It won't always amount to action because it can be hard to prove such things, but we would not take it lying down.
I know a certain moderator that would approve this plan.
It's-a me, Mario Link! I spotted one of these decks in Casual a few days ago, and we engaged in a Taunt-battle for the ages. Maybe not, because I won pretty handily with my variant, but still: it was fun and cool to see others playing a deck like this :D
Speaking on the deck itself, I'm not sure how I feel playing such wimpy Taunts. Presumably you do so to get Sulfuras out faster, but I managed the feat first in our game so I don't know. I like playing bigger stuff such as Scrap Golem, The Lich King, and Khartut Defender, but I can understand how that can backfire against faster decks (I know this first-hand, of course lol). I'll have to give it a shot.
Finding art is easily the most time-consuming part of creating a card.
Finding art definitely can be a pain, yeah. Sometimes I seemingly spend hours on Google looking for the right image.
On an unrelated but more important note, you submitted both of your ideas simultaneously which is against the rules. Shady Deal was all set to go; why did you include Dark Effigy with it? We don't allow people to edit after they submitted, meaning now I have to disqualify you :(
(That being said, welcome to the website! Please don't let this early snag get you down: we all make mistakes when we're new to this.)
I have another idea for the mage secret instead of Spell Capture. The reason why it's at 10 health because that is the maximum health you can play Molten Giant for free.
Someone else already submitted the rogue secret, so that leaves Molten Summons, Divine Entity, and possibly Killer Instinct among what I would submit.
I personally would stick with Divine Entity. I think it's too late to make a Secret about Molten Giant, even if he did technically exist in Classic/Standard at the time. Even then, the Mage was one of those classes that could easily abuse Molten Giant because of Ice Block, and giving them potentially two more seems really strong. Presumably this Secret would have to be moved to the Hall of Fame at the same time as Molten Giant; otherwise, the problem would not have been completely removed from Standard, you know?
Somehow, with half the world shut down, I seem to have less time than ever.
Anyway, my first couple of ideas:
With Coup de Grace, I can appreciate looking for a different kind of trigger but this is kind of messy. The enemy is being punished for losing one of their own minions, so the tactic to beat this Secret is to not trade and go face? Seems weird.
I like Saving Grace's flavor, and I prefer it over Coup de Grace, but I wonder if people would tolerate another Ice Block-esque Secret (even one touted as being "more fair"). Its usage will probably be the same - stalling for some kind of Combo deck - and now you can do that for just 1 mana. You can overpower Saving Grace, so that's good, but I can still sense the potential saltiness.
Unfortunately, we've come to the conclusion that it does not qualify. It's similar to how we feel about Coldlight Oracle: the effect involves their deck, certainly, but you're not really interacting with it.
Also, that's a Dreadlord, not a Pit Lord :P

Thanks everybody who voted for me <3
In our first 10 competitons, I was a finalist 7 times and a winner twice. That's pretty awesome :D
I came up with three ideas, all in the name of pulling a minion from your opponent's deck on purpose:
Yes: Void Contract destroys both decks. Also there's Hakkar, the Soulflayer, which was one of Devizz's examples that we didn't use for some reason lol
I'm mainly impressed with how many friends he has...*sigh*
No but seriously congrats on the amazing pull.

My guess is that Twisted Fate is next, saving the best (Miss Fortune) for last.
Finalist voting is now open!
Any guesses as-to who's gonna win this one? I may be starting off in "first", but I don't think it'll stay that way :( My guess is Counter Shot.
Should have given him Regeneration, because of the oranges: make that disgusting eating sound whenever he heals XD
"The most menacing" implies it is Gangplank, not Miss Fortune.

We have four hours left to go! If you haven't already submitted, now would be a great time to reconsider that position lol
A little premature, but good luck to everyone in the voting process, and extra good luck to our future finalists come tomorrow.

Was the video implying that the final voice is Miss Fortune? She suddenly has an accent, while Gangplank's voice was the same as ever.
