That's actually not a new Information. Iksar also mentioned many months ago that some cool cards didn't made it to the live version because it would break wild.

Might aswell craft him at this point and use the other 500 coins + tasks to max out his important abilities. There are also some comps out there that don't use the Cairne/Diablo package.

I'm honestly not a fan of this. I personally find coherent boards much more appealing, even if I don't see it all the time. Plus: This way I can (sometimes) enjoy the full board without owning it.

I'm surprised that it took them that long, and even more surprised that it's not for the Tavern. The current Tavern board looks perfect for modular customization.

Sky Admiral Rogers seems like the reliant Cairne/Diablo Counter we've been waiting for. Just equip his 2. ability and use it on Diablo to completely deny his Fire Stomp (as long as Rogers hasn't been slowed)
Well, he/she hasn't even received a book of Mercenaries chapter yet

general lack of contribution to the overall story.
That does not mean that he/she won't be important for the end. We know for example already that he/she spied out Kazakus and claims to know the true potential of the Naaru shards. There is certainly room for Varden to play a big role in the finale.

No, but I'd like to regain the board control when I'm behind through (potentially) clearing the enemy board, refilling my hand and setting up tons of tokens.

If every class gets what they "need", then every class would eventually play the same. Part of what Warlocks are supposed to be good at are card draw and board swarming, so they get cards that support exactly that.
I wonder by how much they increased the merc rating for winning.

the value of the free side hasn't been changed outside of the free Vanessa merc at level 0

Pretty sure the free version has the exact same rewards as the current ones, plus the Vanessa merc.
Still nothing about Diablos 6. Treasure? I thought the Duels version was also supposed to only stay there for a limited time.
That will most likely be part of the first big merc update later into the expansion

Well, they still havn't revealed the already confirmed mercs for the patch...
Keep in mind that the Rifts from Dreadlich Tamsin are also Fel spells.
Maybe in some kind of midrange deck in a minion heavy meta.
Note that the turn limit should only count for pvp. That's atleast what the dev said on discord whenever he mentioned it a few days ago.

Interesting that both Warlock legendaries can be played in the same Archetype (Zoo), that's usually something the devs try to avoid.
Probably because it's defensive card that fits both into the control warrior playstile, aswell as into expansions theme of being in a snowy area.
Still nothing about Diablos last Treasure for Duels? How long do they want to keep this *limited time* character around?
