I will, I'm just saving up for the $80 bundle. I usually wait to see all the cards revealed first, then buy it at the last minute mostly to see if I win a giveaway or something :P
It's not a big deal, really. I'm still surprised that lost of people are complaining about the toned down boobs and ass. I don't know about them, but I don't play this game to get a raging boner over some scantily clad illustrations.
The new art looks better, aesthetics-wise. The old art was starting to look dated.
I just started playing Wild, and it's been fun so far. A trip down memory lane where I get to reconnect with some of my preciously crafted cards. So far, I haven't faced any of the oppressive decks yet at the lower ranks (Big Priests, Jade Druids, etc.), so I've been stampeding through with a Secret Paladin deck (a tweaked version of the featured deck on the front page, I added Corpsetakers and Call to Arms).
Maybe in a month's time I'll be back here whining about Big Priests, but until then, I'm enjoying the climb.
There are always going to be one or two classes in the gutter every standard year. Warrior and Shaman were one-trick ponies for most of last year. It's Priest's and Warlock's turn to be boring this time around.
Nope. Though I have an internal rule that if I'm ever going to craft a golden card, it has to have a Discover or token-generating effect so the card/token they'll give me will be golden as well. If I'm ever going to bling out, might as well squeeze value out of it :)
Might be a surprise for some, but Cubelock for me. It might be because I played it post-nerf, but I could never get my win rate close to 50%. I often didn't know what to do in the early game, I burned cards from having a full hand all the time, and I had difficulty timing its synergies. That deck takes considerable skill to pilot which I never managed to cultivate.
DMH Warrior was difficult too. That deck was like the ultimate survival test lol.
Played Wild for the first time today! I built a Jade Druid deck (don't hate me, it's the only deck I could piece together with my limited wild collection) and I've been having fun with it. I haven't faced any Big Priests yet, so...
I did face this Reno Warlock though, who managed to get a Dead Man's Hand (forgot how), played it, and THEN played Reno Jackson like a doofus. I've forgotten how prone to misplays some players can be in Rank 25.
If a round of nerfs hit Warrior and take it down a notch or two, you can bet that Aggro Shaman will run roughshod over the meta. Would you like that?
Warrior isn't fun to play against right now, but the class functions as a necessary evil to maintain balance in the meta. Though it's boring to play against, it's not oppressive by all means--it has miserable matchups against Bomb Hunters, Mech Paladins, and Conjurer Mages with their waves of big threats. Murloc Shamans can beat it too.
The obvious deck for this is Token Druid, but it's waaaaay overcosted. If your treants from The Forest's Aid sticks then you buff them with this, you might just win the game. Seems like a last resort card though, with all the other cheap buffs that Token Druid has.
Is this a good enough inclusion for Odd Paladin decklists in wild? It's supposedly ruling the wild meta, and this will only make their wide boards even more annoying to deal with. Could be too slow at 5 mana though.
This card seemed useless to me at first glance, then I realized it's got fat stats for its mana cost and is in the classic set. Good tech card that doesn't completely screw over your opponents' game plan ala Skulking Geist. This might see play in a secret-heavy meta.
Solid card that will definitely see play in some decks. Balanced stats, a battlecry that provides value, and a dragon tag to help with dragon synergies to boot. Cards like this are healthy for the game.
The only thing the Rogue nerfs changed was the shift in power from that class to Hunters. Since then, there's still a triumvirate of Warrior-Hunter-Rogue fighting it out in the meta.
The buffs served as the meta-shaker, with Mages and Shamans rising because of the buffs to Luna's Pocket Galaxy and Thunderhead. It breathed life to Paladins and Priests too.
It's a pretty diverse meta, and I love it. It's hard to climb, sure, but that's what makes it fun.

I didn't mind the change to the Secretkeeper art, but it turns out they changed her voice lines as well. Shame, I found the old voice sexy :(

Never liked the old Secretkeeper art with her impossibly thin hips and ridiculously tight booty. New art looks better.
Wardruid Loti will love this hero power reward, lol. The quest seems easy enough to complete, with a reward that's not too oppressive.

If this ever sees play in standard, I'll eat a live rat.
Oh man, I'm so happy that Mind Blast will be purged from standard forever. No more 40-damage blasts out of nowhere, Priests! Mwahaha

(At first glance I thought it was a murloc, lol)

I think the related flavor texts of the Twin Val'kyrs are hilarious.
Fjola Lightbane - "LOVES being called the wonder twins."
Eydis Darkbane - "HATES being called the wonder twins."
I've decided to try my hand at the Wild format, so I bought Toki's wild bundle and I got a clown fiesta of legendaries. I got free C'Thun (because I accidentally dusted all my pre-Un'goro cards), Zola the Gorgon, Wickerflame Burnbristle, Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale, The Boogeymonster, and Fjola Lightbane. The last three are useless, but I can't complain that much over this haul.
