Is this confirmed or just speculation? Because I personally really doubt that unless they just threw in some new lore that made no sense for the character at all. They have done that to an extent given Ziggs but at least with Ziggs you could justify it if you squint really hard. Noxus on the other hand is a country all about being the best and earning your way and meanwhile Rumble is a runt of the litter that has a robot that is...sort of a mess.

In a way rumble fits the noxian idea since he was the outsider guy who got bullied by others until he built "tristy" and messed the bullies up.Now he's the mechanized menace, an infamous fighter.

He certainly would fit into p & Z and shurima aswell but since those got their yordle already I think it's fair to assume that rumble will be a discard themed aggro/midrange champion for bc noxus

  • Mecha Yordles you say... I smell a Rumble Release comming soon

  • I think I underestimated the fact that Pantheon is NOT a build around Champion.

He totaly can level up in the majority of midrange decks that we play  these days and you can't ask for more raw power on a 4 drop.

Given his low commitment a deck playing him should have no trouble to build a strong standalone shell around him and I think I should give him more Credit for. However I would still only call Pantheon and Shield Vault actually good here

  • Let's be real: neighter Against the Odds nor Freed Colossus are really good cards or would have been good even if they were realeased earlier.

Pantheon looks good for 4 mana but it is too easy to shut down in order to be one's key wincondition. Together with Camphor, the Doubt i can see the Pantheon archetype working out although I most likely would just pick up the fated units and play Taric Poppy around the rally tribal.

And it's not only because bandle City is very strong of a Region but because we less and less play "normal" cards with average powerlevel anymore because the options improved and the average powerlevel of cards played risen with it

I am not sure if there will be a way to fix that issue by anything but a rotation where only a subset of cards remain legal

  • I see pantheon realistically level on turn 7 on turn 7 mana efficientcy is still not irrelevant but starts to become irrelevant.

Having to spend more mana than the opponent doesn't feel good but is not too bad eighter and since Targon most likely will become more relevant you get Hushed instead and trade down anyways

  • Am I just undervalueing something or is Shield Vault the only actually viable card out of these 4 cards?

Like Pantheon really doesn't impress me especially because he levels pretty late and will just get minimorphed in the majority of cases and the rest of the cards just look... underwhelming to me

  • This... actually looks not too bad.

It still feels a little underwhelming given that Ruin Runner is a better card without conditions but still it has important keywords that scale greatly with buffs that the deck it will be played in has

  • Now this is a very vanilla and mediocre card.

The fact that it doesn't even have any keywords makes it not worth it in my book

  • Now this is a good example of an unplayable card:

it's like a Stand Alone just that the opponen also has to go wide for it to make it good and then it can't even be played at burst speed during combat? No thanks that would be worth 0 stars if there was

  • Now THIS is a great spell if there is any: taking out an attacker/blocker for 1 turn is not too bad but not worth a card. When it comes attached to a +1/+1 grant for 2 mana it is actually very strong because it will make the combat phase of the turn you play this card really awkward for the opponent.

It is better on offence than it is on defence since it doesn't cover open attacks but it's a really good card for aggro/midrange decks for sure

  • Level 1 Pantheon looks like a decent aggro card: He has a free attack as a 4/2 overwhelm with fated? Kinda reminds me of Renekton.

The level up condition however won't ever be fullfilled before turn 6 and most likely not before turn 7 so his lvl 2 being essentially The Arsenal in the fated version is decent but still doesn't sell the champion to me

  • Quote From minuano28

This new key word looks crazy especially in a region like Targon who has some many burst speed buffs

The keyword is once per turn only and the unit's are all 1/1 smaller than units at their cost in order to compensate for it. It looks good but having to trigger the keyword twice in order to make it good makes it not too impressive imo

  • a fair way to look at this card would be to see it as a 1 mana 2/3 which is a good statline. The fact that it can grow bigger makes it a compelling 1 drop.

  • This follower does many things but those things do not really match together. Silencing and enemy follower however is proably enough to make it playable but still I am not too sure about it being actually good

  • now these are goodstats combined with good keywords on a 3 mana midrange unit. I totaly see dragon/fated decks running this as a 3 of

  • Giving a total of 6 stats for 3 mana makes this spell look not too bad. However it's rarely the case that you need to buff the health of 2 units at once making the sencond +1/+2 buff way less significant and makes this spell overall playable but not thaaat strong imo

  • giving the best 2 keywords at slow speed for 3 Unit mana makes this etb very decent. I could see fated and lee sin decks profiting well from that kind of effect and I am very sure that this will see play

  • So we now have classic mtg heroic limited to 1 use each round in Runeterra?

I think it's a decent mechanic  and might reanimate the reforge noxus decks featuring Riven Taric / Riven Pantheon

Although it being limited to 1 use per turn makes is not that powerful imo

  • The idea is cool but the storm cloud has too weird of a statline to be actually good imo so...

To me it's the typical cool but bad epic you get to see with every champion release

  • I think some hearthstone plays will get quest rogue vibes right now.

This has not much to do with quest rogue  but the condition.

I so far could see a recall blade dance archetype being a thing but let's see what ahri brings to the recall archetype first
