  • This kind of wipe is a lot better than it looks in first place. It kinda works like an Grasp of the Undying on aoe. The only thing about it that sucks is the mana cost... i mean 7? That is a lot to ask for...

  • * i played against Lee Sin Aphelios.  I played A Riven Vi build that has pretty huge damage spikes to offer.

Also I don't know how I was supposed to get Might in hand. Other than maybe spellthief it

  • I just attacked with a total of 30 overwhelm damage 7 elusive damage and 3 normal damage into an Aphelios Lee Sin deck (against this deck) with a a board full of chumbblockers with 1 burn damage in hand and a Might to go...

Well he answered... tripple Hush,  survived with 2(effectively 1 hp) into a 14 damage lee sin kick on the following turn to finish the game...

    Seems absolutely legit

  • The rarity of a card doesn't say anything about the powerlevel of the card, in fact Sharpsight is the best buff in the game right now, Screeching Dragon was always a powerhouse since it's release, Shen got stat buffs and nopify is just more generic goodstuff that the deck needs to protect it's units.

When it comes to discard aggro you can't ignore that they became strong with the addition of of new tools,  once again like for example Poro Cannon.

  • I don't know how experienced you are in cardgames but you might know that with every expansion, the bar what a deck has to achieve powerlevel-wise to keep up with it's competition rises.

Because Riot did not support freljord midrange since call of the mountain and since riot still refuses to do that for some reason (i mean stall ramp was already the freljord flavour in call of the mountain), freljord is not longer up there with midrange powerlevel-wise. Other regions like demacia outshine it (especially with the new elite cards) and with lissandra bringing another lategame stall/ ramp archetype we might see trundle return but pretty sure the likes of ashe and Sejuani won't be a major player in the next meta.

Just be real and don't deny passive powercreep (larger cardpool =stronger average decks) that makes the archetypes gradually unplayable if they haven't been supported for a while

  • I am sooo sorry for Teemo ... not

  • It might be good for Sejuani decks but those get to deal nexus damage in many ways already so yeah... it's rather clunky

  • The wincondition for very patient players...

Like this has to be the worst 1drop you ever can topdeck and while a 1 mana 8/8 overwhelm looks crazy I think the condition justifies that chance to get one...

Absolutely not my way to play games but some players love to hatch eggs i guess

  • And you get a zhonyas and you get a zhonyas EVERYONE gets a zhonyas

  • 3 mana fast 1 time use Ember Maiden ? Might see very fringe use in Sejuani Gankplank lists but that's all for this card imo

  • I... wont play this highroll archetype for sure... like  you can have a Frozen Thrall, target it with Promising Future, and hatch it turn 5 for a gg but that is so bad of a gameplan... like its heavily draw dependant and not present on the board at all...

  • Having access to 3 excellent combat tricks at will for 1 extra mana? I think we won't see many freljord decks that don't play it as a 3 of. Sure  1 extra mana is not nothing but the power is just too high to skip on it imo...

Finally, a reason to run a full on Freijord stall/control deck

Finally a reason midrange players to drop the region entirely you mean ^^

  • It's kinda a worse Catalyst of Aeons... that said we all know that ramp takes anything it can get... even such a bad card

    edit.

This card i certainly meant as a Taricramp enabler... good old Taric Battle Fury Action incoming?

  • This is essentially Avalanche with even further delay and heal attached to it...

I am actually not sure if that is better or worse than Avalanche because this version can't punish your opponent like Avalanche for developing the board on his turn... on your turn it however will always be better or... actually not even that because it doesn't allow to use spell mana

tough call if it will be good enough... i proably would prefer Avalanche

  • Quote From Topandito

Am I the only one that is sorta feeling like they might be a little too liberal with the burst speed?

Buffs at slow speed do not work at all and gem speed buffs are usually mediocre.

So yeah better release buffs at burst speed so that they actually get played

  • Paying 1 extra to always have a fitting card to play in your hand? There is hardly a deck that would say no to this card concept... (unless the set of landmarks is terrible)

  • It's decent. That it forces you to pick a landcard in order to not get a 2/4 vanilla makes this card pretty meh and definetely worse than the 2 mana 2/3 with predict but still its a decent card

  • Meh the idea of frontloading you board is cool and certainly strong against slower deck. Against aggro however...

I don't think we will see this card a lot

  • It's a card that resolves around salt so no question: It's an easy 5/5 meme-meta defining card!
