Cast it twice(?) on a Desert Obelisk when deck is almost empty, then play Myra's Unstable Element to get combo. Also works for Mogu Cultist. Pretty strong card since it can also target beefy minions of the opponent.
Tried to have some fun with some crazy decks this morning, so I thought what the heck this [Hearthstone Card (Crazy Chicken) Not Found] has potential. And I managed to win some games with it even. Very satisfying to get one of the worst cards in the game work out for you.
Well. I made a deck to try this out. Started with a mix of mechs and murlocs. That did not work so good, got the combo in one game but did not need it to win.
So then I decided on a full murloc mage package with the extra toxfin. That had a lot more bite, but here the combo comes wayyyy too late. So well. Nice surprise clear but not very competitive.
I will make a deck and ofc its a last resort "if all else fails" in the same way hunters use it when they lose bord control. I am thinking of either a tempo mage mech deck with bonus or a murloc mage deck with some mechs to enable interesting magnetics to irritate the opponent. I do not want to play shaman out of being kinda mage addicted.
I have never seen any1 play this against me. Did I invent something new here? OMG! I will try it out in some deck tonight and see if I can pull it off.
So after being disgusted by another hunter Venomizer+Missile Launcher I came up with the idea of above combo which should essentially give me the same thing for a whopping 10 mana. Any1 tried this?
And how do i change the title of a thread I created? Now it looks horrible!
And I want to see his face when I counter his combo by my own combo.
I also like the "visual upgrade" Secretkeeper got. Apprentice is ok I guess, also not a minion I would like to sacrifice on turn 2, I was also thinking of Mana Addict or Novice Engineer and even Mana Wyrm might be ok as well.
Can the two ppl who are clearly having a heated discussion pls focus on stuff that might be relevant for all of us? This is getting slightly embarassing.
A minion that is resummoned by Reborn will not keep any enchantments it had.
So for instance a megnatized minion with reborn will loose its magnetized increased stats since that is also an enchantment, and it will be reborn as a minion with only 1 health and its original attack.
I agree that the combo with The Forest's Aid look very scary. Most of the time I win against Token Druid is by killing them at the turn they play this and that works because they can not play a taunt as well. But now they can! Which will subtract at least 5 from your lethal range (and maybe they have them both in their hands).
It needs two cards but at turn 8 you have had a reasonable time to draw it.
Another way to "cheat it out" is by using galaxy spell in mage, and then conjure call it a couple of times, or clone, or....without silence/polymorph effects this guy can attack at least twice for 10 damage, and the divine shield means it has an attractive trade rate so to speak. And its nice to finally get some buff for conjurer's calling :) was way too weak without (laughs hysterically).
I don't think you run this in conj mage, I think you just hope to roll it off conjurer's calling a Sea Giant. Colossus is pretty much unplayable without Luna's Pocket Galaxy and I don't think a bonus 10/1 divine shield when you happen to Galaxy->Colossus->Conjurer's is enough to justify running an otherwise unplayable card.
That's just too much optimism and greed if you ask me.
Yeah probably, but I am just a optimistic guy :) So I have this deck packed with big minions, galaxy spell and some early game minions removal poly taunts etc where I hope to play galaxy on 5(4) and just value the hell out, including the star aligners. Its obviously weak against aggro, but at least the control warrior is not so happy. And the nice part is, it does not matter a lot what big minions you include as long as they are reduced to 1 mana it becomes a very juicy minion anyway. So you can experiment with a lot of otherwise unplayable minions.
So basically this guy behaves 50% of the time as if you just played him so he might be able to attack the next turn. But I guess he still retaliates when attacked. Could still be useful if you can give hem taunt for instance (or just silence), and since the opponent can not be sure if he falls asleep, its still a risk to ignore him. Interesting card. As vanilla stats its reasonably priced since its damage output is only 75% so it costs about 25% less also (4 mana for 11 stats instead of 8 stats).
And, last but not least, this can be another valuable source for the salt thread (lol).
Maybe there will be synergy with The Sandman: "Battlecry: if your board consists of at least 4 sleeping minions, wake them all up, give them +4+4, blazing eyes and the urge to wreak havoc".

And if you put enough blue in a moon combo's in your deck one of them is sure to fly, right?
I was thinking of standard. I know nothing about wild...they will kill me even before I play a card there!

Say you do not want to play this on 2. What minion can mage play on turn 2 that fits a secret/tempo mage deck? And what about turn 1? Any ideas?
Well if he suddenly is at the end of my bed in the middle of the night with his big blue mummy eyes I might be a little scared

Could also be used for a nomi deck or Mecha'thun
Fits nicely in the already strong mech pally deck I think, has 1 attack so can be target of Crystology as well.

Say you play this while you also have a couple of those Neferset Ritualist at the ready, then this becomes quite a strong card.
