Dungeon bosses want to help you play! Build your own deck but get a random boss power. Each time you use it, get a new one!
This brawl is ancient! It first made its debut back in 2015 when Tavern Brawl was a youngin' during week 19. The only other repeat for Who's the Boss Now was 10 weeks later on brawl week 29 where it came out to play to ring in the new year. So go have some fun with a deckbuilding challenge and the random boss hero power to get your Classic pack reward for the week.
If you build something awesome, consider sharing your deck with the community via our deckbuilder. You can set the "deck type" to "Tavern Brawl" to flag your deck as belonging to this week's brawl to make it easier to find. Speaking of which, if you want to find decks for this week's brawl, you can head on over to our dedicated page for the brawl or find them on the Hearthstone portal.

Like wth isn’t Raza banned in this game mode!?
Raza-broken... Little effort from Blizz.
Does anyone know if Inspire effects work? I put in Manafeeder Panthara and can confirm that the card draw effect does not work.
If Panthara doesn’t work then I assume it works by checking to see if the Hero Power is turned over (used) when played. Since in this Brawl it always refreshes to a new power, that minion will read the power as “unused” every time. I wonder if the same would happen with a Coldarra Drake on board too. Or maybe it’s because the Hero Power in the Brawl is changing and you haven’t used that specific power in your turn...
Anyway, Inspire should be fine. They are in play when you use the Hero Power, therefore, even if it changes and refreshes the minion should still be able to register that you used your Hero Power.
[Hearthstone Card (Manaeeder Panthara) Not Found] is not coded the same way it's written. What it actually does is drawing a card if your hero power is currently flipped (which happens after you use it but refreshing it undoes it immediately)
How it works with Mindbreaker?
Good point. I just tested it and it does not draw a card - seems to be a double condition then: Hero power must have been used and be currently flipped upside down. I watched a Hysteria video on youtube where he tested playing manafeeder ith a refreshed hero power and it didnt draw.
Yeah, with the Mindbreaker test findings I'd say there seems to be a yes/no value in the code to say if the hero power has been used. As you mentioned, refreshing or replacing the power sets that back to "no" and Panthara is looking for a "yes" value. Mindbreaker I would assume just disables the power without changing that value, and the hero power flipping over is just a cosmetic change in that instance.
So that makes me think Coldarra would also interfere with Panthara's effect as it resets the hero power after each use. Always fun learning more about interactions like this.
Dropped Raza on Turn 5, my opponent conceded after I hit the hero power button like 8-10 times. Almost felt bad. Obviously the team put absolutely no effort into this.
It’s an old Brawl from before Raza was a card, ya dingus
But they could have thought about potentially problematic cards and banned them. If we see it again I can imagine Raza being on that list.
So, I toke note of all possible heropowers, and since a lot of them summons for you, or stalls your opponent, I made a token druid. I am 3-0 with it, even one against Kael'thas Druid, and a control priest whose spell cost was reduced by 3.
(summon 3 whelps, , summon Tron, summon 2 2/1, , summon 3/3, one damage per enemy minion+summon slimes, random spell from opponents class, random destroy enemy minion, random Sap, summon minion from deck, draw card and get 1 mana)
Okay now, Highlander Priest with Raza should be banned from this brawl.. Once you play him, you got infinite HP swaps and your opponent could just sit there and cry, watching you having all the fun.. Well, most of them just insta-concede at that point.
Ok, this should go in the salt thread, but I'm on mobile and am feeling lazy...
Dear Blizzard,
What in the actual fuck were you thinking when you printed Lightning Bloom? You have stated yourself that mana cheating feels bad, so why the fuck did you print this card? When you nerf this card (which you will) please don't go easy on it. Nerf this card into the fucking ground! This card is so unhealthy for the game it's not even funny.
P.S. - With this tavern brawl, can you please stop matching me against Druids who are getting the Hero Power that draws a card and gains a mana crystal? 3 attempts at this brawl and that has been my opponent all 3 times! As if Druids didn't have enough mana ramp and card draw... Seriously, do you guys even play your own game?
Yup... it's kinda gross to have Kael'thas Sunstrider drop as early as T3 and then your opponent just starts to go off. Sure they get the next round hindered by 4 locked mana crystals... but when they have totally gone off, filled their hand, cast mana ramping spells, have a few minions on the board, and you're sitting there with a 1 or 2 drop ready to click concede, it's bad.
Yeah, exactly. Who cares about 4 overload if you cheat out 17 mana worth of minions on turn 3 with 2x Bloom, Kael, and a Guardians?
