I would have preferred someone with a little more enthusiasm for the theme of the cards. Watching his facial expressions as John McIntyre explained the thinking behind Confection Cyclone and the Sugar Elementals, like "I'm too old for this", was more than a little disheartening.
Yeah, I agree.
He also likes to cut off John McIntyre when he was trying to explain, to make his "plays". He seems to be more concerned about winning the show match than actually featuring the cards.
If Blizz wants a player with a huge following to showcase a set, why not get Thijs? He is Mr. positive and a HS OG. Kripp really sucks in these things.
Yeah, we missed an opportunity to see Revolve in action because he didn't want it in his opening hand lol
What an expansion!! Minions are peetty hilarious and the corrupted mechanic seems a way different style of play. Hype is over 9thousands.

Man, Confection Cyclone is probably my favorite card in terms of hilarity and flavor. Love it!
It's also probably pretty strong. Especially with cards like grand finale

I was also expecting a different card to be the throwback card but it seems Oh My Yogg! is the one. My guess is they handled Yogg's throwback card a bit differently (as in it's not a spell with almost the same effect) because [Hearthstone Card (puzzlebox of yogg-saron) Not Found] already exists.

So what have we here at the end?
- Shaman getting shafted for the third expansion in a row. Stormstrike is the only card I'm truly impressed with, along with Dunk Tank. Everything else just too gimmicky. Puts a tear in my eye for poor Thrall.
- Mage getting lots of elemental synergies in standard at last, for that one very broken card Elemental Allies. There's enough secret synergy for aggro secret mage to make a comeback
- Secret face hunter in the works and may be legit. And finally, a good 2 mana beast has been revealed. Will this be enough for beast hunter though?
- Warrior getting a bevy of rush minions. Rush warrior may actually just be a thing. ETC God looking way too good now
- So much demon synergy for warlock. Ring Matron is just a slight powercreep over Savannah Highmane.
- Priest cards getting weirder and weirder. Seems like a small push for rez priest, but many of the cards are too expensive to be honest.
- Banana Vendor and Prize Vendor are slightly weaker versions of something that almost always sees play back in standard. Wriggling Horror can actually just be a decent card in many decks. Carnival Clown turns out to be that 'awesome' 9 mana corrupt card, but I think it'll never see play.
I am completely underwhelmed by Carnival Clown on paper too. I guess time will tell.
Its actually a good warrior card. But only as a choice discover. Otherwise I really can't see anyone putting this card unironically into their deck.
Rush feels like the couple expansions after Discover came out. SO MUCH RUSH! It doesn't need to be on so many cards, Blizz. I would argue that, strategically, the less Rush available the better.
They're really pushing for that minion combat.
Idk, 10 rush minions in this expansion doesn't seem too bad.
Where is the 9 mana corrupt card??
Edit: It's called Carnival Clown, neutral taunt similar to Hir'eek, the Bat!!!
