The Battlegrounds news drip continues with C'Thun being confirmed as Azeroth's Next Top Old God coming to Battlegrounds.
In addition to our many-eyed friend joining the party, we've also got a new Taunt Reborn minion entering the madness. We'll let you know when we have more information on this week's Battlegrounds update.

The HP is very similar to pre nerf Rakanishu. In other words.. pretty bad. You most likely don’t want to push it early because it’s such a high tempo loss and it’s almost irrelevant later.
I bet they’ll buff it to start with repeat once. Giving +1/+2 would kill the flavor..
Also with this little taunt reborn plus the other new card, Thijs revealed, taunt is getting a lot more relevant. Maybe there will be a strong 6 drop with taunt synergy?
We’ll see if I deserve the downvotes for C’thun but at least I was right on the taunt “tribe” :
After the gods flopped hard on constructed its their time to shine on BGs
I don't know if they've really flopped so much as the decks that could use them are oppressed by the dominance of other decks/archetypes. The meta is just way too aggro to allow for high cost and slow strategies. But they each have their own potential to have successful decks if the meta shifts with either a) nerfs, or b) the mini set. And of course, if you aren't worried about winning all the time and just want to have fun, new Yogg is always a great time no matter the outcome! I am getting a little discouraged though because I've gotten Rod of Roasting more times than I could tell you and have STILL not won a single Rod roll... :(
You never know, they might be more prominent come set rotation in April. And I am actually really loving the new Y'Shaarj in a Wild Mill Lock, getting multiple free Tickatus and upgraded Cascading Disasters is great in the late game, even if I've already burnt my opponent's entire deck away! Getting two free "destory 3 enemy minions" cards late against Big Priest has been especially wonderful.
Did they flop? Yogg sees pretty consistent play in control decks, and the rest have niche but powerful uses.
i mean yogg sees play and they others are niche like u said. they kinda flopped if they dont see much play. bomb warrior etc warrior and pain warrior doesnt use them, all variants of DH, the tempo secret rogue, aggro and evolve shaman, libram pally, highlander hunter, all tier 1 and tier 2 decks. dont use them. highlander priest uses yogg i think. i mean the most sucessful decks dont use them. thats why in my eyes thats flopping
Brilliant wordplay in the Hero Power name.
What is the wordplay? I don't get it
Saturday C'Thuns = Saturday (morning) cartoons. Getting up that morning to watch Dragonball Z and the like; used to be a big thing for kids/teens in the 90s and early 00s, here in the US, but they eventually died off. Don't know if that was a thing anywhere else.
Don't know what it has to do with the Hero Power's mechanics, though lol
Thanks for the explanation. I was confused by the hero power's name too.
Saturday morning was definitely prime time for kids TV here in the UK, but I never encountered 'Saturday cartoons' as a phrase of any significance.
