The spookiest month of the year has arrived with October starting and we've got a fresh, not-so-spooky, card back to celebrate the new month. This officially begins the 91st ranked season of Hearthstone, which is incredibly crazy to think that the game has been out for this long and we've been collecting a brand new card back every single month.
Everyone can get behind this daily grind.
The card back fits right into the profession theme we saw during United in Stormwind, since World of Warcraft's inscription grinds down herbs to make Celestial Ink Set, though we're still left questioning why the true herbalist-lovers profession Alchemy never got any love.
We might see the Stormwind mini-set of cards late this month, though we can guarantee ourselves a departure from the usual Hearthstone experience once Mercenaries drops on October 12. Hopefully Blizzard is planning some Hallow's End fun, it feels like we haven't had a good Hearthstone event in a while. If you want to get your 5 ranked wins out of the way before all that happens, you should check out our top decks to climb for the end of September's season, not much has changed, or head on over to our deck database to find something one of our excellent community members has cooked up.
As always, if you want to look at Hearthstone card backs, we've got an entire gallery dedicated to just that! While you're there, you can take a peek at next month's reward, Carved Autumn.

Ooo, Alchemy would be great to work in as a profession tool! I think we might get something added with the mini set since we're almost undoubibly getting more mounts. There were mounts shown in the trailer that aren't cards yet, so they will likely have a continuation of these core set themes as we move on to Deadmines. perhaps professions could follow suit.
I'd imagine we'd get profession tools for a different class, if it were Alchemy related, I'd say Druid or Shaman would best fit that thematically. We might get a rogue mount, coz Scabbs was riding a robotic chicken in the trailer. Also a couple more Tradeable cards would be obvious.
I'm hoping we get a quest disruption tool. Something along the lines of a minion with text that reads "Battlecry: Players cannot complete questlines till the start of your next turn."
