Alex Horley shared Emerald Malfurion's full art prior to the launch of his Book of Heroes chapter this week and it shows plenty of extra detail! The outer art that we don't get to see on the hero skin shows Malfurion in... the Emerald Dream. Malfurion went looking for the corruption and he sure found it!
Alex painted this stunning piece on a 14x24 canvas with acrylic and oil paints. You can see more of Alex's art over on his site, Twitter, and Instagram. You can also see cards he's created art for in our database.
You can still pickup the Emerald Malfurion hero in the Hearthstone shop through June 30. The new Book of Heroes chapter is also available in-game and completing it will let you experience more of Malfurion's story and give you a Druid card pack for completing the content.

Alex Horley is a legend. He makes the best artworks.
The art is great, but it is a shame all the Malfurion portraits end up looking kinda samey by the time they are cropped for gameplay. Cropping out the Nightmare here really wasted the opportunity to buck that trend.
Also, this is completely separate to the artwork itself, but does anyone else find Malfurion's character really bland? He's involved in lots of interesting events, but he so consistently plays the 'lawful good' role that I struggle to find him interesting.
They really need to make full art available in a separate gallery like Mithgard does.
That swirly nightmare thing to the right of Malfurion is Archdruid Naralex's portal when he creates a dream card!
It looks amazing, indeed. So much talent!
This is fantastic, and truly a shame that it doesn’t translate as well into the small portrait crop. I’m happy to be able to admire the fully realized version here!
I love this!!
Is there any piece of art made by Horley not incredible?
Well, it doesn't save the portret. It would have been nice to have some Nightmare stuff in his portret. Or maybe the shape of Xavius in the background.
However, it is freedom of art and the color palette is awesome.
