I don't think so. It's x-cost cards not cards that cost (x). Same wording as Skulking Geist and geist doesn't destroy all spells after alignment
Celestalon has confirmed that the quest looks at discounted costs not base. So CA Druid or any cost discounts done by other cards can throw the quest off.
yeah but it is slightly different... The Marsh Queen only counts minions that costed 1 when they were played whether their original cost is 0 or 2 didn't matter

I disagree: Rush Warrior is curvestone. Seek Guidance is a better (but still very clunky) Map to the Golden Monkey.
Yes, Primordial Protector exists, but you'll have to invest literally 40 mana (+10 for Purified Shard) before being able to win the game. And you'll have to do it in a specific order.
Not really specific since it doesn't tell you that you need to play 2-cost card first. You could play 4-cost first if you miss the 2-cost.
But I got your point.
Specific in the way that you cannot play an 5-Cost card during "stage 1" and get away with it - you actually need to sequence them, even though the mana at your disposal soft-forces you to do so.

A win condition for Priest? Yay!
A win condition for Priest that the opponent can't stop, delay, or interact with except through a lucky Counterspell or Oh My Yog? Oh no.
I mean, you could always try to kill your opponent before he spends 51 mana on 10 different cards
by playing stuff on board that priets has tp answer, you can delay their quest process or they process their quest but dont deal with board as well/at all
and you can mutanus xyrella possibly.

After completing the Quest, Priest has no problem fetching that Purified Shard:
Thrive in the Shadows, Cleric of An'she, Devout Dungeoneer, Shadow Visions or Cleric of Scales.
You forgot side stuff like High Abbess Alura and Malygos the Spellweaver and Primordial Protector
And Primordial Protector, which specifically tutors Purified Shard...
