I don't see how anything is ever obvious when discussing on the internet. I know very little about Flux, and I don't know their perspective. It seemed obvious to me but I wasn't sure how obvious it was to someone else.
As for whether it is trivial I don't see anything wrong with discussing literally anything so long as someone wants to discuss it, not that anyone necessarily does want to. That said they have stated that it is something they are thinking about twice now, so considering the ways in which they might go about it isn't that unreasonable.
