In a post on reddit from Hearthstone's, Chris Sierra, he has confirmed the next patch will bring fixes for "the majority (if not all)" crashing issues players have had on mobile.
- The patch will arrive "in [a] couple of weeks".
- The update will likely hit the week after BlizzCon, which should also enable new expansion pre-orders in-game.
Quote From Chris Sierra Hey Folks,
I wanted to give everyone an update on the state of mobile, as we've seen quite a lot of threads about it.
In our next major update we will be rolling out a fix that should address the majority (if not all) of the crashes on mobile. This update will be rolling out in the next couple of weeks. Sincere apologies for the poor experience, we're working to get things back on track.
The team is continuing to pinpoint what other issues may exist and are hoping to squash these pesky bugs in their tracks.
Cheers,

I play almost exclusively mobile and haven't experienced any game breaking bugs. There is occasionally framerate slowdown, but that's been it.
Haven't been playing on mobile due to the bugs. And when I'm on pc, I generally play other games....
It makes no sense keeping the game broken for "a few weeks", if the patch is done they should release it asap!
I do not understand this way of managing things in hearthstone honestly.
It's because updates often have to be verified by the particular app store or provider. And that process takes time.
Well, I have seen some random crashes but mostly in the main menu or in the solo adventures. Regular play works OK, thank Cthulu.
What a coincidence that the bug will be fixed just before the Pre orders for the next expansion go live. I've been having a really shit time with the Mobile App recently. Throw in all that shit with the GM and blitzchung and why do I feel like I'm being held to ransom? Or is my Tinfoil hat on too tight?
Whatever. I'm glad I've gone from a Whale to F2P.
You feel like you're "being held to ransom" because of some weird persecution complex. It's just a game. It's optional.
Why fixing breaking game bugs anyways... selling packs does work like a charm.
Seems odd to have the confidence that the patch will fix all (or almost all) of the problems, but don't have the ability to send the patch out now... if it's not ready, how do you know it will fix all the problems?
Because that's not how app stores tend to work.
Doesn't it remind you of The Secret : Wishful thinking and positive attitude ? ^^
"How do you know it will work?"
"Because it fixes the problems!"
"How do you know it will fix the problems?"
"Because it works!"
That last one is a bit different and more closely related to circular reasoning, which postulate that :
Circular reasoning works because circular reasoning works because (...) repeat ad vitam aeternam
Yep, that was the implication
Do the issues only affect Android devices? I play daily on iOS and have not had any of the issues anyone is describing.
As far as i know, it affects android only
In a couple of weeks? This is ridiculous.
Yeah we broke the game already for 3 weeks by not testing it, give us couple more weeks to fix it...
I would expect that they will care about this more since LoR will be also on mobile.
EDIT: How long can this go on?
That must've been one hell of a bug if it took so long.
Glad it's going to be fixed. It was about time.
State of the game on mobile is appalling. Luckily I hit my usual dad legend before these issues began, but I'm not looking forward to trying to climb the ladder at the start of November when this is still a problem. Currently every 4th or 5th game I play freezes.
Fingers crossed that we'll get some compensatory packs...
Crashing bugs? Wait...that means some ppl are actually able to play it on mobile? wow thats some next gen tech going here.
Ive given up on the mobile version long ago. Deleted on my phone. Still got it on my tablet which is able to run it for solid 10-15 mins until it crashes. Sometimes it crashes as soon as i boot it up and press "Collection"
Good thing that in 2020 all of these problems will go away.
