Two New Anime-Inspired Skin Bundles Have Arrived to Hearthstone's Shop

As expected, we got some new bundles for the anime-inspired constructed skins that were added to the game in the latest patch. These two, as all new future skin bundles, are only purchasable with Runestones.

Runestones?

In case you've somehow missed it, Hearthstone got a new currency that can be used to buy everything available in the shop. If you want to learn more about their pricing, check out the spoiler below.

You can find monetary conversions of the Runestones to selected currencies below:

As you may have noticed, the biggest bundles aren't actually the cheapest option to obtain Runestones. While the prices of USD/EUR bundles aren't radically different, in GBP you'd be losing a relatively high amount of money if you bought anything but the cheapest bundle. We've bolded the best deals in each currency in the table above for your convienience.

Pack Bundles

The same trio of card pack bundles from last week still remains, with nothing new added:

  • Golden Standard Bundle (2 Golden legendaries and 10 Golden Standard packs): 5000 Runestones ($49.99)
  • Mini Golden Standard Bundle (1 Golden legendary and 5 Golden Standard packs): 2500 Runestones ($24.98)
  • Standard Bundle (1 legendary and 10 Standard packs): 1000 Runestones ($9.99)

Constructed Skin Bundles

Last week we got a new Elise Druid skin in a bundle that also included 5 Druid Class packs and a special card back. This week she was joined by two new magical skins for Nemsy and Tyrande, with both bundles also including 5 packs for the respective classes. The Elise bundle is priced at 1500 Runestones ($14.99) while the two new bundles without a card back will cost you 1000 Runestones ($9.99).

Battlegrounds Bundles

Nothing new for this week, I'm afraid. The same seven skins from last week remain in the Battlegrounds shop, with Star Scout Scabbs being free for everyone and the six other skins being individually purchasable for 150 Runestones.

  • I also got a new legendary quest with this update: "Intro the Fray" -- Play 1 game of Battlegrounds (2-week deadline).

    Does this chain into additional quests?

    • You can click on legendary quests to see the next ones in the chain. The following quests are:

      • Win a Battlegrounds Match (rewards a new emote)
      • Win a Battlegrounds Match in 1. place (rewards a new Jandice Battlegrounds skin)

  • Wow, This is really a blatant rip-off of Star Guardian skins from League and Runeterra lmao. Blizzard has no shame.

    • Both are actually inspired by sailor moon, and doubtless countless other magical girl moments in western media. That's hardly plagiarizing on blizz's part.

      • yeah I know that obviously, but if you look at the skins side by side you will see that they are almost identical. Even the star guardian skins aren't identical to Sailor Moon, they have unique details. Blizzard yoinked all of those unique details though. And then there is also the fact that the Star Guardian event literally just ended and here Blizzard is one month later with the exact same skins, really think that is a coincidence? Good to see that the HS fanboys are still out here shilling the game tho, say something negative about the game and get downvoted :) keep defending the billion dollar company that only cares about ripping your wallet to shreds lmao

        • Im only stating what is obvious to me. And from what I can see, based on the designs of both HS and LoL I can't see any note of plagiarism or design choices from HS that clearly mimic LoL's star guardians. Both are white, slim designs with short skirts because that's referencing sailor moon, perhaps the only magical girl anime that ever reach high popularity in the west. There's not much room for uniqueness when both sides are trying to mimic the same thing. If I paid an artist to draw me a character referencing sailor moon I wouldn't expect something too different from both HS and LoL's efforts.

          You can argue on the timing, and that's making assumptions that blizz didn't already got working on it before LoL released theirs. Its kinda like the battleborn vs overwatch thing again, we'll never truly know if BB is a blatant ripoff of OV. But at the end, is it really that relevant? Products must stand on their own two feet at the end after all.

           

          And lastly, dont read too much into the downvotes. If you believe youre making a good comment and you can justify it reasonably, then surely your only main concern is your argument and not its popularity points. Certainly no need to lash out, it is the internet after all.

  • I don't get it, why give the Priest a bow? 

    • Tyrande always had a bow, up until the whole Night Warrior story where she has a different one. I stopped playing WoW forever ago so I don't know the details of the whole night warrior thing.
