This week was a more quiet one when it comes to new deals, but that doesn't mean that there wouldn't be anything new for Constructed and Battlegrounds.
Runestones
Hearthstone has a new currency that can be used to buy everything available in the in-game shop. If you want a reminder about their pricing, check out the table below.
You can find monetary conversions of the Runestones to selected currencies below:
Runestones | USD/EUR | CAD | GBP | JPY |
500 | 4.99 | 6.25 | 3.99 | 610 |
1000 | 9.99 | 12.49 | 8.99 | 1220 |
1500 | 14.99 | 18.99 | 12.99 | 1840 |
2000 | 19.99 | 24.99 | 16.99 | 2440 |
5000 | 49.99 | 62.99 | 44.99 | 6100 |
8000 | 79.99 | 99.99 | 69.99 | 10000 |
As you may have noticed, the biggest bundles aren't actually the cheapest option to obtain Runestones. While the prices of USD/EUR bundles aren't radically different, in GBP you'd be losing a relatively high amount of money if you bought anything but the cheapest bundle. We've bolded the best deals in each currency in the table above for your convenience.
Pack Bundles
Nothing new in the world of pack bundles this week either, so we've put the current offers within the dropdown section below:
- Regular Mini-Set - 1500 Runestones ($14.98) or 2000 gold
- Golden Mini-Set - 7000 Runestones or $69.99
In fact, all of the Standard Mini-Sets are available for the time being.
The Wild bundles from the last three weeks were replaced by new personalized pack deals, Tavern Special and Bob's Bargain. We've encountered the following deals for the respective bundles:
Tavern Special
- 2 random legendaries and 20 Murder at Castle Nathria packs: 2000 Runestones ($19.99)
- 3 random legendaries and 90 Wild packs: 6000 Runestones ($59.98)
Bob's Bargain
- 2 random legendaries and 25 Wild packs: 2000 Runestones ($19.99)
- 3 random legendaries and 75 Standard packs: 6000 Runestones ($59.98)
Additionally, the Golden packs for all Standard expansions still remain in the shop. The pricing for all deals is naturally the same, and the packs are purchasable with either Runestones or real money:
- 5 Packs - 2000 Runestones or $19.99
- 11 Packs - 4000 Runestones or $39.99
- 23 Packs - 8000 Runestones or $79.99
- 30 Packs - 10000 Runestones or $99.99
Constructed Skin Bundles
The older skin bundles are now gone, but the two bundles from last week still remain. Refined Tastes Bundle comes with culinary Anduin and Elise skins as well as 5 Class packs for Priest and Druid for 2000 Runestones ($19.99). Noodle Nemsy Bundle offers yet another skin for everyone's favorite Warlock, as well as 5 Class packs, for 1000 Runestones ($9.99).
This week's new bundle, Seriously Sweet, has the same contents as Refined Tastes - but for Demon Hunter and Rogue: 2 skins and 2 x 5 Class packs for 2000 Runestones ($19.99).
Battlegrounds Offers
The main Battlegrounds deal remains since October 11, in the form of the Legendary Board Murloc Hideaway for 2000 Runestones ($19.99). You might recall this particular offer as already specifically announced and previewed along with the patch notes when the newest Mini-Set entered the courtroom.
Additionally, Battlegrounds still has some "Just for You" offers, different from what they were a week prior: be it a random item (e.g. Strike for 300 Runestones or Bartender for 500 Runestones), or a small selection of older Hero skins - with each being sold separately for 100 Runestones (~$1.00). Here are some example skins we've encountered:
The Murlocized bundle still remains, including a Murloc Bob bartender and Murloc-themed skins for Overlord Saurfang, Queen Wagtoggle, Shudderwock, and King Mukla. The bundle will cost you 1000 Runestones ($9.99).
The paid Season Pass also remains available with 1500 Runestones or the equivalent amount of real money ($14.99).
Are you planning to buy - or perhaps already have - any of the aforementioned bundles? Let us know in the comments below!
Comments
At some point, like when you have 3 or more skins for most heroes, it because another meh moment when you hear about new skins. The cooking ones are particularly uninteresting to me.
The Aranna skin is the perfect 'friendly DH' skin I've been waiting years for. If only it wasn't bundled up with a Maiev skin I'd never use and behind Runestones providing extra stages to let my doubts win the debate. Better luck next time Blizz.
Wouldn't songstress Aranna be technically a friendly skin for dhunters? Saves 20 bucks on the way as well.
Kinda, but then I'd have to spend the same amount on the paid rewards track. It's certainly an improvement, especially if I'd done that at the start of the expansion, but still not worth it.
Between FitB boring me, UiS making me hate the game, other matters taking priority in life, Runestones and general weariness from 8.5 years playing HS, I've lost a lot of interest in the game and find it much easier to argue against spending anything. I went into Nathria knowing I main rogue so much I really don't need cards from most classes, so only opened ~60 packs then called it a day. Turns out that was the right choice as I haven't felt like I've been missing anything important, indeed I don't think I've played anything other than rogue and DH this expansion, so extra packs would have been pretty meaningless. The end result is even all those extra goodies on the rewards track - including the extra XP - have next to no value to me. Hence 2000 Runestones (~£16) for a friendly Aranna skin and a Maiev skin I'll never use just isn't worth it in either bundle.
They would sell like hot funnel cakes if these portraits were standalone items in the shop, also following their original reasoning of introducing Runestones in the first place. Class packs are useless for us whales/dolphins anyways. I feel like Blizzard is currently missing out on a pile of money.
Breaking bundles up into individual items would definitely help, especially here in the UK where it is still drastically cheaper to buy Runestones in batches of 500 than anything else. So to get a 2000 Runestone bundle I need to go through the "is this worth it?" debate a whole 4 times more than I would if it was straight cash!
I had already gone back to F2P for the Nathria expansion due to a lot of my focus being elsewhere, but unless something changes the Runestones will cement that as a permanent choice. It's a shame, because I really do like that Aranna portrait, and I was a dolphin who wouldn't have needed much of a nudge to get it previously.
Don't care much about the skins, but bartenders I can see simping for
