There really wasn't much of note to report on this subject with Patch 24.6 going live, but then we might as well catch up for the sake of completion. Hearthstone's in-game shop is relatively empty at the moment, but this could be the calm before the storm.

Runestones

Hearthstone has a new currency that can be used to buy everything available in the in-game shop. If you want a reminder about their pricing, check out the table below.

Runestones

You can find monetary conversions of the Runestones to selected currencies below:

Runestones USD/EUR CAD GBP JPY
500 4.99 6.25 3.99 610
1000 9.99 12.49 8.99 1220
1500 14.99 18.99 12.99 1840
2000 19.99 24.99 16.99 2440
5000 49.99 62.99 44.99 6100
8000 79.99 99.99 69.99 10000

As you may have noticed, the biggest bundles aren't actually the cheapest option to obtain Runestones. While the prices of USD/EUR bundles aren't radically different, in GBP you'd be losing a relatively high amount of money if you bought anything but the cheapest bundle. We've bolded the best deals in each currency in the table above for your convenience.

Hearthstone Shop, Revamped

Ironically, the biggest news of them all might be the new improved look used for displaying some of the in-game offerings. Any regular visitors there might've already noticed how the current Standard expansions and certain packs have been sorted in a way that looks more aesthetically pleasant. This small overhaul does make it all feel cleaner as a whole, going from the latest set to the oldest in a descending order.

Wild sets remain as they were, sorted by specific Hearthstone Years below all of that.

Constructed Offers

All skin bundles are gone, as are the special pack bundles. What remains are the Pre-Orders for Hearthstone's next expansion, March of the Lich King:

  • The Mega version (8000 Runestones/$79.99) includes 80 packs, 5 signature golden packs, 2 random Signature Legendary cards from the new expansion, Lor'themar Hunter Hero skin and card back, and Path of Arthas Set.
  • The Standard version (5000 Runestones/$49.99) includes 60 packs, 2 random Legendary cards from the new expansion, and Lor'themar card back.

You can read more about Signature Cards here, and we've described Path of Arthas in our expansion overview. Better make sure to save up either 2000 Gold or 1500 Runestones for the purchase of those extra 26 Death Knight class cards! Unless you plan to craft them all with arcane dust.

Remember, for the first time ever these pre-purchase offers won't instantly disappear with the release of March of the Lich King on December 6 - there will still be an extra week for any decisions to be made about their respective value.

Battlegrounds Offers

Not much on the Battlegrounds side either, as the current shop offers consist of three new skins, each for sale for 200 Runestones (~$1.99).

The paid Season Pass still remains, costing you 1500 Runestones or the equivalent amount of real money ($14.99).

Mercenaries Offers

The arrival of Rattlegore brought some bundles to support the newcomer. In addition to straight up selling a 300 coin bundle for Rattlegore (for 500 Runestones/$4.99), Blizzard also bundles together 3 x 250 coins for Mercenaries that are supposed to work well together with Rattlegore: Balinda, Maestra, and Trigore. This bundle comes with a price of 1000 Runestones ($9.99).

Other offers for older Mercs exist too, among them a Legendary Mercenary bundle that consists of 10 Merc packs and two random Legendary Mercenaries. This bundle comes with a price tag of 2000 Runestones ($19.99).

Upcoming Deals

We also happen to know what else is coming in the very near future, and that would be the special Arthas Menethil bundle on November 8. Available for pre-purchase at first (and still possible to be acquired after the next March of the Lich King expansion releases), since Death Knights won't be playable until December 6.

Legendary Hero Skins will be the new shiny toy on the block, with their animated 3D effects. Don't get startled!

And for all we know, there will be even more various offers populating throughout the in-game Hearthstone shop (or shops, if we were to consider separate game modes). We will try to keep up with them accordingly, provided the Lich King won't freeze us dead in our tracks.
