No changes will be coming this week to Hearthstone's weekly quests which were recently overhauled to be... less than awesome.
But, that's not to say changes aren't being worked on! Blizzard made a small note in this week's patch notes for the upcoming mini-set update that the next patch will contain updates to the weekly quest system. Here's what Blizzard had to say.
Quote From Blizzard As we continue iterating on our progression system, and our communications around it, we’re working on some updates that didn’t quite make it into this patch. Our next Weekly Quest update is planned for the next scheduled client patch, Patch 29.4.2.

I hope that they fix the shop. I want to get the new mini-expansion!
I like that they are making this change, but I'm pissd that it's needed. They keep doing things like this, and will probably point to it and say, "Look, we listened to the players and made QoL adjustments based on their feedback." But they created the problem they are now "fixing" in the first place. In fact, most of the QoL changes they've made over the last few years have simple been dialing back negative changes they've made.
I feel ike if they don't just revert to the old system they are going to need a big overhaul. A few people have suggested doing tiered weekly quests. Get xp for 5 wins, then more xp for 10 wins, and could do another xp reward for 15 wins. Rewards the more dedicated players while still allowing the more casual players to get their usual 5 win XP goal. Some kind of tiered quest system like that for weekly quests would be nice in my opinion.
This is the best design choice out of all opinions I've seen. And we know they have the capabilties to do this coz the event quests are tiered as well. Still a bit infuriating they implemented this change and taking so long to improve it. Now more than ever I'm making shitty wild decks just to complete weekly quests
Agree 100%. I am also playing crap decks just to grind out quests. And yes, the special event quest sequencing works great and should absolutely apply here.
