My sister loves succulents, I told her about this card back.
She said she's never going to use any other card back ever again :P
I wonder if they will try another big change to Arena as they did at the start of last year. A year worth of data must be enough to decide on the next step, surely. Could also be enough for them to keep it the way it is if they like where it is at, i suppose. But if any bigger change was coming, the start of the next HS year would make most sense.
There are lots of things I’d like to change in Arena, but probably the most urgent is the reward structure. In most games (*cough* Runeterra *cough*), you’ll feel like you got something out of a run even if you only did ok. In Hearthstone, if you complete an “average” 3-win run, you’ll get rewards worth approximately the cost of your ticket. But the randomly-chosen pack probably isn’t the one you would have bought yourself, so it feels like it wasn’t quite worth the cost. That’s not how a game should leave you feeling after paying an entry fee AND an hour or two of time.
My humble suggestions:
I totally agree that they could be doing more in the terms of exposure, having an arena ticket be a quest reward, similar to a Classic Pack, has been suggested for the longest time, but i also like your idea of having it in the season chest reward.
And while i would LOVE to have something similar to ranked season chest for arena, the problem is, that the top arena players would farm ridiculous amounts of rewards from such system, which to be honest, those players wouldnt probably even need, but i think that is what is stopping Blizzard from implementing such a thing. I hope they do it sooner rather than later, but they never did pay enough attention to the Arena in a first place. It got better in last 2 or so years, but it has a long way to go.
You’re right. A goal like “20 Arena wins” would be trivial for a good player but a huge task for an average player. Maybe they could follow Runeterra’s lead and give a bonus for your first Arena run or two every week. Or give an extra reward for your best run each week.
Whatever the answer is, I hope Blizzard figures it out! (Along with a tournament mode and monthly subscription, of course...)
I really like the "what is coming in this month" briefly explanation.
Interesting, what they have in the store for us.
Divine spirit HoF? Year of the "Dirty" Rat? Can't wait.
You were just waiting for the moment it started to post this, weren’t you?
