Well met! Fellow Hearthstoners of Out of Games, it has been a wild past 24 hours. We're still working towards getting everything setup on the site for The Great Dark Beyond's card reveal period but the card reveals have already begun so we're here to deliver!
This reveal season is going to be a bit different since Blizzard made an oops and leaked all the cards in the set early. All the new cards have already been added to our database, which means you can build decks with them, and they will be be visible on our expansion page for The Great Dark Beyond. This also means you can already start to vote and discuss every single card if you wish, which gives us plenty of time to get scores building for an incredible Community Compendium once the reveal season is over.
But, even though all the cards have been leaked, we will be covering the cards in daily recap articles too. Leaked cards will appear on the website as if they were uncollected in your Hearthstone collection manager, so until they show up as their usual self, take their stats and text with care. We don't know if the cards that were accidentally pushed were final; Blizzard has made last minute balance changes before. Doing daily recaps gives everyone a chance to focus their attention to a select few cards together which will make for good targeted discussion and allow everyone to ignore the leaks if they wish. Obviously, it's going to be hard to completely ignore leaks here on the site, but this may help a little bit if you want to be surprised every day.
Also, we are missing tokens across the board, so any cards with tokens are still slightly in the dark.
Without further ado, let's take a look at the new cards coming in The Great Dark Beyond that were revealed today, October 11, 2024.

Comments
So Perplexing Anomaly, to my knowledge, is the first Standard legal card to contain a question mark in its text box. Totally Totems (from Caverns of Time) was the first collectible card to have one, and is still the only collectible card with an interrobang, at least as far as I can tell.
The Exodar - Theres only really one protocol you'll be seeing the most and that's emergency repairs, which will give you armor equal to double the ship's health, which usually means in excess of 10, maybe around 16. There's really not much to say about this card aside from the fact that it'll likely only be seen in druid because 90% of the time you'll either be destroyed before turn 8 or your opponent have assembled a board such that this card barely buys you another turn.
Red Giant - My opinion is that this card is trash. But no way to knowing that until we've seen if outcast dhunter can make a come back
Mutating Lifeform - It'll never see play outside of arena. 8 health is a lot, but its never gonna win you the game so why bother.
Star Vulpera - Obvious reference to starfox. But aside from that Im not seeing this card seeing any play outside of reno decks.
Doommaiden - Its funny, its meme, and its also trash. Reno deck card at best.
Braingill - Staple in murloc decks. Unfortunately, murloc decks havent been meta since the start of sunken city. Not expecting it anytime soon in the near future
Troubled Mechanic - A card that will very nearly see play in all decks simply because draenei tribal tags are so unique it basically tutors your win con.
Space Pirate - Staple in aggro decks because why not. Does what aggro decks wants, and also means you dont have to play Instrument Tech in your deck.
Exodar protocols:
So protocols give us another C'Thun or C'Thun, the Shattered or Sire Denathrius or Astalor, the Flamebringer ?
How creative ? I can't think of even more interesting play...
I just want a year without this effect. Why is this coming back over and over again ?
This single thing just destroyed my hype and will to play the new expansion, great work Team 5 !
If you needed any indicated as to how much stronger cards have gotten over time:
Compare Splitting Spacerock to Splitting Festeroot.
For literally the same exact mana cost, you get an 8/8 body that summons two copies of the latter card when it dies. I know that Splitting Festeroot was never a great card by any means, even back in the day, but GOD DAMN, the dude is already dead. I can't think of a single powercreep (using the word loosely) in the game that represents that much mana.
Star Vulpera
