This reveal season is going to be a bit different since Blizzard made an oops and leaked all the cards in the set early. All the new cards have already been added to our database, which means you can build decks with them, and they will be be visible on our expansion page for The Great Dark Beyond. This also means you can already start to vote and discuss every single card if you wish, which gives us plenty of time to get scores building for an incredible Community Compendium once the reveal season is over.
But, even though all the cards have been leaked, we will be covering the cards in daily recap articles too. Leaked cards will appear on the website as if they were uncollected in your Hearthstone collection manager, so until they show up as their usual self, take their stats and text with care. We don't know if the cards that were accidentally pushed were final; Blizzard has made last minute balance changes before. Doing daily recaps gives everyone a chance to focus their attention to a select few cards together which will make for good targeted discussion and allow everyone to ignore the leaks if they wish. Obviously, it's going to be hard to completely ignore leaks here on the site, but this may help a little bit if you want to be surprised every day.
Also, we are missing tokens across the board, so any cards with tokens are still slightly in the dark.
Today, Death Knights discover that, in space, no one can hear you decompose. Let's take a look at the new cards coming in The Great Dark Beyond that were revealed today, October 18, 2024.

Assimilating Blight is a little nutty. It's gonna live or die by the strength of the Runes supporting it, but that's the kind of power level that actually encourages people to play a wonky Rune combo. Very good design.
Even though most of these cards look quite cool, it's frustrated how disproportionately supported the Runes are. Frost is my favorite Rune, and there's not a single Frost card in this set, and the Rune has always felt a bit undersupported.
Team 5, print some Frost Rune stuff please.
The 8 Hands From Beyond - is genuinely evil. Against certain decks this card can immediately turn the tide largely in your favour. Plus against combo, its usually just an auto win unless your opponent happens to have all the pieces in their hand. The fact that this card can come out as early as turn 6 with exarch maladaar makes it even more insidious. I suppose the only mitigating factor is the fact that it requires two blood runes to play, so chances are it sees no play, though through no fault of its own.
Exarch Maladaar - I think its a single unholy rune card, which will limit this card somewhat, because essentially speaking this card is only ever useful if there is a win con that cost more than itself, otherwise its usually not worth the corpses. Maybe with Climactic Necrotic Explosion, which should be beefed up by the 10 corpses consumed as well.
Airlock Breach - Consumes way too much corpses and isnt strictly better than Corpse Bride. Only good thing is that its a pseudo Vampiric Blood that doesnt require triple blood.
Orbital Moon - Such a random requirement for this card. Im not sure if this card is good enough, because to gain reborn, which is probably what you want from this card, you need to first spend mana playing the cards beside it.
So DK's expansion set this time is mostly centered around reborn and spaceships. Just to comment on the starship pieces as a whole, DK's is all about putting huge stats on board. Fully loaded, the moment it gets launched we're looking at maybe two other big minions alongside it, and the ship itself has a deathrattle that summons another big minion. If Wakener of Souls is one of them, then the ship even gets resurrected to go again. Its easy to see what DK's end game looks like.
Probably why yogg got nerfed. Because I can see the entire DK win con disappearing with a mere tap.
