2 hours later - what's the new "cancer" deck?

So: Scholomance Academy is out, and with it, a new meta is here. People have finished opening their packs and are trying out their new cards on the ladder (or going Face Hunter). Is there any deck that you found nearly unbeatable or unfun to play against?

Anything like Day 1 Demon Hunter or Galakrond Shaman?

Personally, I've been playing Soul Fragment Warlock and I've found it impossible to win against Druid after even one Survival of the Fittest. It turns all trades in their favor for the rest of the game. An aggro deck may however succeed well against that archetype, and people are posting all kinds of crazy Turn 1 Gibberling plays.

Is Druidstone incoming?

  • Seeing how Druid has only gotten a single bad card in this expansion (while getting back Innervate and Kun basically) I don't think Druid supremacy is too far fetched

  • I don't know, just enjoy the first week until the real cancer decks flood the lader.

  • That Mage OTK deck with Mozaki is annoying. Draw entire deck and being able to deal 40 damage by turn 7 :/

  • My own Quest Dragon Fragment Warlock beat the one Druid I played against, but I don't know for sure that they were a Survival of the Fittest Druid.

    They certainly never drew a Kael or SotF that I saw; they might've just been a Spell Druid.

  • As I predicted, Druid is broken, namely Kael'thas Sunstrider. It was so obvious and yet again they f****d up. :)

  • I've been playing a beast druid I made and I have been having lots of success. Lost a couple though, one in particular to Soul Mirror.

    I've seen lots of Temp/Buff priests so far and Libram Paladins. I wouldn't anything is bad though. The one thing I have noticed so far is just how "swingy" the games are but that might be just the deck I am playing.

  • Yeah druids absolutely busted with so little counter play aswell... 

  • The new Survival of the Fittest Druid deck just cheats mana liking nothing else. Their boards are huge and they can get all that done around turn 7. Very frustrating. Also played against a DH who did the thing that i predicted was going to drive me nuts: used Glide to pretty much discard my hand. 

  • Druid. What else.

    I heavily misjudged how easy it is for druid to get to those power turns, during the reveals. The cards in druid are fair, but quickly becomes unfair when they just go lightning bloom, kael'thas into survival of the fittest. Then you've got one turn to end it before you're quickly outvalued.

    The main problem here is actually Overgrowth and Lightning Bloom. Watch druid suffer when these are not in hand. If there was ever a deck that wins by drawing that ONE card, druid will be taking home the winner even with a a score of three blind judges and a guide dog. In fact, when I do win its usually because one or the other just came in too late.

  • Beast Druid's looking like a spicy contender for Day 1 nerfs. However, I don't think it's fair to say that it's going to be a Druidstone just yet (It's literally been 10 hours since the expansion dropped). There isn't an aggro deck that can punish Druid's Overgrowth on 4, which is crucial as it lets them cast Kael'thas Sunstrider on turn 5. Maybe once the hype has settled a bit, perhaps we'll see some aggro Rogues, Hunters and DHs that can put pressure on the Druid and force them to play slower.
