  • Fantastic in both classes, this is gonna help Warlock and DH maintain board control with ease since it also enables their powerful fragment destroyers, some of which curve immediately after this.

  • 2 mana deal 3 damage isn't bad, but it isn't good enough by itself to be played. I think shuffling Soul Fragments is definitely enough of a motivation to play this though.

  • 2 Mana: Deal 3 damage is already good, for sure in Warlock. And the Soul Fragments either restore health when you draw them, or get used by a strong pay-off card. Super solid card for control warlock, but i'm not sure if this will ever see play in some kind of aggro/zoolock.

  • just a solid card even without any further interactions. Warlock just likes being able to autoheal somewhere down the line anyways...and it can't Hurt for Demon Hunter either.

  • Good card overall, will surely appear in some warlock decks, not so sure about DH though.

  • I feel like 2 mana deal 3 damage cards are always good, so it seems this would be good too. Although it is weaker in the sense that it can't target face which you might've down with Darkbomb if you had lethal.

Of course, it's going to be a good card in Fragmentlock (as I'm calling it) and Fragment DH.

  • Pretty nice counter aggro card, but in warlock decks where I expect to see the slower fragment builds, this will likely only make the cut as an enabler, unlike school spirits which is a good card on its own.

Unlikely to see play outside of a deck with specific fragment synergies.

  • Another soul fragment generation. I doubt it will see play outside of those "soul"-decks.

  • Like School Spirits, it's removal and healing in one. Great combination, will see play in any control warlock.

  • 2 mana deal 3 are always playable specially if they come with healing attached, Nether Breath is obviously better when you have a dragon but you don't always have a dragon and more removal.. is great.

  • 2 mana deal 3 damage has seen play with Frostbolt and Darkbomb.

While this won't allow you to target face like the previously mentioned spells, this set has shown quite a few 1 drops with 3 health that this can remove.

It's primary function, however, is an additional source for the soul fragments you'll use to build your deck around for the additional life gain or for the additional bonuses the Warlock and Demon Hunter minions can use once these are shuffled in.

  • Seems like a pretty strong card even independent of the Soul Fragment synergies.

      Not soullock?

  • Looks really good in warlock, slightly less so in demon hunter. 3 damage for 2 mana is usually pretty good though either way, even if it can’t hit face

  • Curve nicely into all the soul pay off, ofc a staple in both respective class. See you on ladder!

  • Wow ... very good 3 damage for 2 mana is already good but with the Soul Fragment Upside this is even stronger.

  • Deal 3 for 2, yes that's very good. Soul frag synergy as well? Well, what else is there to say?

Its just a card thats playable on its own. That it enables busted cards like Soulshard Lapidary means there's little to no reason why this card wouldn't be a vital inclusion in a tier 2 or tier 1 deck.

  • Good early removal for all fragments decks. Two obvious deck spots. Decent of its own actually, like a  Penance with delayed healing.

  • Nice card all around. Will get the job done, and feed your soul synergy.

    • Good damage for the cost, and good payoff for the synergy. At this point, all of my comments for soulshard cards are sounding the same, lol.

Maybe not as great as other fragment cards, but it's still a good card on average. I see this in control more than aggro, therefore it will probably see more play in warlock than DH.

  • So, like a delayed Penance in theory with an upside which are the soul fragment support cards.

It might be better than it because sometimes you re just (mostly) forced to play Penance even you have 30 health. Delayed heal which can be used for another feature is quite great mechanic.

I really hope and expect to see some viable fragment decks in meta.

  • Cannot wait to see how the fragment play out and if it is really good enough to build your deck around it.

  • Super solid card. Warlock is the firt choise for this card...but Nether Breath is better. So this cheap removal is closely related to the "fragment mechanics" or in some zoolock can be find a spot if no dragon are played

  • Helps Soul Fragment decks from facing out of control boards early on. While not very flashy, it is a decent card.

  • I think Warlock will more consistently run this than DH, because I think DH Soul Fragments make more sense in Tempo DH with the tempo package of Spirit Jailer, Marrowslicer, and Soulshard Lapidary. A lot of the Warlock Soul Fragment cards overlap in synergy with the dual-class card they have with Priest, potentially allowing for a Soul Fragment Handlock, especially since we might see Lord Jaraxxus come back with Demonic Studies.

  • I will run this in both classes for sure. :D

  • Useful

  • I am really exited for soul fragments this expansion

  • Darkbomb. Can't go face, but gets the delayed healing later instead. Perfectly decent.

  • If you are running Soul Fragments, this is almost a auto-include.

  • Solid for control, but maybe you dont need it

  • 2 cost 3 damage with no setback. Nice card

  • Good effect with bonus. Awesome card.

  • I like all the Soul Fragment cards.

  • More Soul Control support. Nothing to write home about.

  • This card is good; in fact, so good it can even be run in decks without the Soul Fragment package. I suspect that this will be in almost every Warlock deck in standard, replacing Unstable Felbolt as the early single target removal card.

5/5 card to me, and it definitely is going to be a frustrating one to deal with thanks to the 4 healing.

  • Solid card that will definitely see play. Hopefully Soul Fragment decks turn out to be playable, it seems like a fun mechanic.

  • Good removal for the cost. It’s a good card for both classes and the soul fragments appear to be a powerful mechanic.

  • A nice Darkbomb replacement in most cases for Wild - the lack of face damage is a drawback, but not a huge one to me, as I'm not usually counting on a 2-cost spell to secure my victories. In Standard this will probably only be a staple in dedicated Fragment decks (I suggest Fraggle Lock as the name, but I'm old, haha). 3 damage on 2 is always fine, but I think non Fraggle Warlocks will usually have other plans and needs.

  • Cheap removal, add soul frags, great tempo, sign me in.

  • [Hearthstone Card (Dark Bomb) Not Found] was a decent removal tool back when GvG was in standard and this is almost strictly better than that. My issue with this though is that I'm not sure where exactly you would want to run it. Obviously in a dedicated Soul Fragment you'd run them but I don't see Demon Hunter ever wanting to include this since they can just use weapons/Twin Slice and their hero power and in Control Warlock decks, the ability to target spells face is pretty important and I don't think you'd cut a card just to give yourself a bit more healing.

  • The default Nether Breath for the possible soul fragment decks. I think Warlock will be stronger than DH though

  • Good card

Penance for DH and warlock.... 5/5

  • It's very powerful. And delayed heal is better than direct one imho

  • This will see play just for the fragment support.

  • Anything to do with the new Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me!  Might be better for Warlock as Demon Hunter still has Eye Beam, but overall you may run this over Beam if you are pushing the Soul Fragment archetype hard with Illidan.

  • As much damage as a Frostbolt, with the added benefit of adding the Soul Fragments to your deck. Quite a strong card.

  • All the Soul Fragment cards are good, and this is no exception. Penance but you delay the healing sounds perfectly fine to me for two classes that would love that card.
