I can't imagine a scenario where you can afford to take this much damage just to draw through your deck. It technically staves off fatigue, but at what cost?

In hindsight, it looks like we erred in treating the damage taken as a drawback and not a feature. Painlock in standard wants to take the damage to drop giants; Seed Warlock in Wild adores this card for Seed reasons. Both can recover the health easily (Painlock with INFERNAL!, Seedlock with the usual nonsense). Monster card. Who knew?
Yeah, that hyper-fast pain/draw deck with the Molten Giants just came out of nowhere in Standard, and I've run into it multiple times. It's not unbeatable, but damn is it strong!
