CHEAP and EFFECTIVE Soul Fragment Demon Hunter that you won't be disappointed
Hello, I made this deck just for fun but after some adjustment, it has turned out to be quite a good performing deck. Libram Paladin, Token Shaman, Dragon Hunter, OTK Mage, or even Big Druid (sometimes), Galakrond Priest, you name them! This deck has what it takes to beat all of them.
Allow me to explain the core idea of the deck and why it just works
Between Big Demon Hunter and Tempo Demon Hunter, the latter is clearly the winner. This deck follows Tempo DH's footstep but with the Soul Fragment package as the core of the deck. The win condition of this deck is to PUSH face and end your opponent with Inner Demon.
Netherwalker is the main catalyst here, adding stuff to your hand that fits the situation. Manafeeder Panthara is just made for demon hunter, especially when played after Sightless Watcher to get the exact card that you want, and delay the draw of Soul Fragment. You're drawing a card while dropping a 2/3, in addition to the Crimson Sigil Runner, generating more card with Netherwalker, you will never run out of cards and you keep your opponent busy.
I'm aware that Skull of Gul'dan's cost reduction effect can be interrupted by drawing a Soul Fragment, but trust me when I say most of the time it doesn't really matter and the value always is there. And here are the two things that I found out while experimenting
- Double Jump is useless
- Glide is awkward to play and most of the time it backfires.
Which is why I choose the OG, Skull of Gul'dan, and instead focus on tempo play with some other cards that I included here
How to play
Get the soul fragments in, perform your usual tempo DH routine meanwhile, Magehunter to disable buffed/taunt minion (You can sub one of them with Kayn and that would be an improvement)
Marrowslicer and try to go face, Soulshard Lapidary-> Face
Shardshatter Mystic is a perfect board clear card against any tempo/zoo deck early game or whenever
Midgame play Soulciologist Malicia (try to get the most out of her) to control the board if you lose it. This card helps A LOT. More than you ever could imagine and is a game changer. Clear the leftovers with Priestess of Fury while pushing damage face with the spells and weapon. Another Magehunter to get rid of the last taunt if there is, and next turn finish them off with Inner Demon (another CORE card that is a game ending card).
IF you have limited budget and want to play a soul fragment deck, this is the one to go! Let me know if you enjoy it!
