This is a lightning fast deck that aims to kill your opponent ASAP (hopefully by turn 5 or so)! A lot of our damage comes from buffs like Inner Rage, Shield of Honor, Rampage, etc. so it is very important to always have a minion on the board. Once you can stick a minion or two on the board and start buffing them up and giving them divine shield, its very easy to snowball from there.
Tips- * Think of your minions as an investment of damage-over-time. Only trade with a minion if it means keeping another more powerful minion alive for a turn. If it is likely a minion will die next turn, then just go face. * Try emptying your hand as much as possible when you play Voracious Reader. Even if it means getting a little less value or damage from your cards, an extra card is always worth it.
How good is Livewire Lance? For pure face damage a Fiery War Axe is better, so how much do the lackeys matter? Particularly since the lackeys could prevent a draw off Voracious Reader.
Have you tried Warmaul Challenger instead? It's good for protecting 1-drops and 2-drops on turn three when they play early minions and its high health makes it difficult to remove, which makes it a good target for buffs. Is it too slow though?
the lackeys from Livewire Lance are actually amazing for either more tempo or more refill. They're just so versatile they're definitely worth the -1 attack on the weapon. We don't want to bank on our Voracious Readers too much because some games we may not draw it in time.
As far as Warmaul Challenger, 3 mana for a 1 attack minion is pretty expensive and tough to justify it against slower decks like Priest where we may not use it as tempo removal but as a solid 3-drop where I don't think it applies enough pressure on its own. We typically don't have trouble trading into minions on turn 3 anyway because we should already have board control with our 1 and 2-drops.
I like the suggestions/questions as those were all close options I definitely considered!
Thanks for the answer :) I hadn't played the deck much and I had a bad experience with a Witchy Lackey I could not play. I have more experience with the Risky Skipper version of enrage warrior where Warmaul Challenger is incredible, and against certain classes (particularly Druid), a buffed Warmaul Challenger could win the game. That version of warrior doesn't have such a strong turn 1 or 2 though.
