So... you may think that Control Warlock cannot reap benefits of playing both Supreme Archaeology, C'Thun, the Shattered and Y'Shaarj, the Defiler at once. Well, here you go.

  • Supreme Archaeology allows us to run the Plot Twist package, and with it, Aranasi Broodmother as an additional way to heal our face. The Quest erward also lets us dig for cards without risk of losing our Health, aswell as giving us potential to highroll an expensive card for (0) Mana. Also Questing Explorer and the Soul Fragment package.
  • C'Thun, the Shattered provides us with his pieces that just happen to cost (5) Mana, thus they Corrupt Cascading Disaster easily. In combination with Archmage Vargoth, you can either play multiple pieces of C'Thun or the fully corrupted Disaster.
  • Y'Shaarj, the Defiler benefits from Corrupted cards, and aside from Disaster, we also run Tickatus to burn some of our opponent's resources. At least twice, on top of removing the enemy board.

All this creates a decently cohesive package with tons of synergies between each card and tons of late game potential. But your early game is not shabby either with removal that you have. Is this all enough to scare off Demon Hunters? I dunno, but this much defense and value can easily frighten a lot of decks.

Just remember to use Vargoth mostly after you cast the spell you desire to copy, especially if you want to copy ones that deal damage to all minions, ex. School Spirits and Dark Skies.
