Druid seems to have a lot of these seemingly meme cards that can now be semi-viable with all the new cards added. Astral Communion is no excpetion. The card itself discards a lot of stuff that you may want, but we have enough refill and enough big stuff to make this investment more worth.

Despite Communion being our main catalyst, Jade Idol is still such a good card, because it generates infinite value, and when combined with Untapped Potential, you can easily generate both fatigue and board pressure. The quest itself grants bonus synergy to a lot of your cards.

Some other notable value generators in this deck are Cenarion Ward and Crystalsong Portal. Both generate much needed minions, with Portal being always active in this deck, as it's literally full of spells. Nature Studies is your main spell generator.

You can start rolling your gameplan early in two ways: with Nature Studies and Lightning Bloom. With Studies, you can play Communion on turn 3, but you also have an upside of progressing your Quest. Bloom lets you do it from turn 2 and also apply the Quest proc, but it also Overloads you, and if you will draw a card that costs (8) or more, then you will be forced to say goodbye to a free Quest proc or even to playing anything next turn. TL;DR one option is safer, the other has a higher risk with a higher reward.
