Yo Ho Pirates!

Jump straight into the fray with your cutlasses swinging in a brand new deck Yo Ho Pirates! featuring cards mostly from the new expansion United in Stormwind! Raid the Docks, Create a Distraction, Secure the Supplies! Then play Cap'n Rokara and call forth the Juggernaut, a mechanical behemoth that will summon a pirate, equip a weapon, and deal two damage twice at the start of each turn!

As a pirate warrior deck, this deck gives you cheap, efficient pirates to play starting turn 2. One-drop pirates have been cut since you will always want to play the quest Raid the Docks on your first turn. As a two drop, the new Harbor Scamp tutors you an additional pirate as it comes down. The three-drop Cargo Guard gives you three armor at the end of each of your turns, making it a threat that your opponent must deal with quickly to avoid your snowballing armor. The three-drop Stormwind Freebooter gives your hero +2 attack, which can be used to either deal face damage or clear your opponent's board of a small minion.

Next we have the return of some old favorites in pirates such as Bloodsail Raider, Southsea Captain, and Stonemaul Anchorman. Bloodsail Raider is nice in this deck, since you have enough weapons and weapon draw to reliably trigger its battlecry. Adding the attack of your weapon to that of Bloodsail Raider will often give it a hefty attack. Southsea Captain will pump up all your other pirates by +1/+1 across the board as long as it remains in play. Stonemaul Anchorman is a rush minion that will also let you immediately draw a card as it's damaged.

We also have some non-pirates in this deck. Why? Because their power is simply too compelling to leave them out. Doctor Krastinov provides another rush minion that also boosts your weapon by +1/+1 as it attacks. Ringmaster Whatley allows you to draw a pirate, a mech, and a dragon as it comes into play. But what mechs and dragons do we have? For a two drop, we have bumper car, a 1/3 rush minion that gives two 1/1 riders with rush to your hand with its deathrattle. Circus Amalgam is a dragon (as well as pirate, mech, and all other types of minion) with taunt that you can also draw off of Ringmaster Whatley.

Weapons are particularly important to this deck, since fulfilling the first stage of Raid the Docks lets you draw a weapon and the end pay off of the Juggernaut equips a weapon each turn. Ringmaster's Baton gives a mech, dragon, and pirate in your hand +1/+1 each after your hero attacks, making it an auto include in this deck. Fiery War Axe, as a 3/2 weapon for 3, is simply the best utilitarian weapon for its cost in standard warrior. Gorehowl, as a 7/1 weapon that loses 1 power rather than durability each time it attacks, is a fine finisher for pirate warrior. I especially look forward to equipping this weapon through the Juggernaut!

A deck will often live or die by its spells, and this deck is no different. First, this deck has some of the most efficiently costed removal in standard. Shiver Their Timbers! is a 1 cost deal 5 damage spell when you control a pirate (which will almost always be the case). Coerce is a 3 cost spell that allows you to destroy a damaged minion and combos off to destroy any minion. Finally, this deck should also have efficiently costed card draw. Cutting Class allows you to draw 2 cards, while costing less per attack of your weapon equipped.

Yo Ho Pirates! promises to be a fun and exciting new addition to the new decks that will flourish once the new expansion comes out. I hope you have as much fun playing this deck as I have in coming up with this list.
