Not only is The Batman hitting theaters this year, but its female counterpart Batgirl is set to premiere as a new movie soon. The whole thing is staged by the two "Bad Boys For Life" directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who will publish the DC blockbuster on HBO Max.

Despite the extremely prominent cast, which, in addition to the main actress Leslie Grace as Batgirl, also scores with big names such as J. K.

Simmons as her father James Gordon, Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly and Michael Keaton as Batman, it seems that there is still no theatrical release. Filming is currently underway in Glasgow, Scotland, where we were finally able to see a first picture of Batgirl a few days ago.

The outfit doesn't seem to be really close to the comic template, but that should definitely not diminish the anticipation of the film. There is currently no specific date for the start of "Batgirl", but we can probably expect a release on HBO Max this year.
