    To start, Careil is a free merc that will be easy to upgrade. The kit offers a turn one taunt. I believe tome of light will be the item of choice (turns into porcupine).

    In general, she seems boring and bad, but Seal of light with the equipment can give (permanent)+10 damage which seems pretty strong with attack based mercs, I mean mercs that can multiply the attack bonus, like Samuro, King Krush, Illidan, Sylvanas, etc.

    Her abilities aren't fancy, but her equipment looks extremely powerful.

    I can see her rounding out the bench in almost any comp, but the attack buff could be sought-after for guys like Samuro, for example.

    Cariel is a "grinder"-type Merc, meant to outlast one's opponent until they surrender via sheer exhaustion. That sounds all well and good, but could be a moot point with all the damage and disruption flying around. She's a fairly simple character, though, the kind that one can easily pick up and play; that's a good thing. I guess we'll see if she can survive in a high-stakes environment, slowing the game down to where she can thrive.

    All-in-all, Cariel is probably meant to be replaced in time with other, better Mercs, but starting out she'll get the job done.
