Scrying is good in MTG, I don't see why hearthstone should be any different. I am very interested in how much this card will be played.
*edit* also in wild Twig of the World Tree is now broken.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
1 mana make your draws better? maybe.. probably not that great since you don't gain anything really since the deck is random you just discard one bad posibility..
maybe weapon buffs or cards like twig.
bah ... what a way to waste one card in your deck ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
First Transfer Student, then Lorekeeper, and now a Neutral Legendary weapon, this expansion is breaking all the molds. Idk how to properly judge this, but I don't think it will see play. There are better ways to cycle through your deck or even tutor what you're looking for where this might be run, but I'm open to this seeing play. We've never seen a Neutral scry-esque effect, so who knows what could come out of it.
Fun card for combo decks, you can now guarantee that your win condition is the last card in your deck :^)
I don'T really see any practical use for this, but there might be some decks that really don't want to draw a specific card until they meet some sort of condition, so this might be good for those (like Rogues trying to draw Malygos through Galakrond or something similar).
Enables a guaranteed OTK for Quest Warlock if you put Malygos at the bottom and then hero power into it.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Blingtron 3000
Good point. But with Blingtron, you had to spend a total of 9 mana to get 10 mana. Now you have to spend a total of 5 mana to get 10 mana. And with the sphere you can set it up to have 19 mana in a single turn, but with blingtron you could get at most 15.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I have no idea how to evaluate this, but I'm guessing that it goes into combo decks and not much else.
Also, as mentioned earlier, twig of the world tree + this = 5 mana for 10 mana. Probably not needed when aviana + kun exists, but something to think about, especially given that this can also be used in combo druid decks to filter for pieces.
This post is discussing the wild format.
I really enjoyed Brann's tracking hero power in Tombs of Terror, so I'm happy to see it incarnated into a playable card to some extent.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
In the early game, it's not a mana problem; it's a consistency problem. You have to draw 2 legendaries in class that can't tutor weapons and you have better and more reliable ways to ramp. At turn 10 you are talking about a difference 4-9 mana, in a class that can heavily reduce the cost of cards in your hand via other minions plus cheat mana with cards like Floop. There might be something broken here but I don't think so.
Very good points. You are probably right and this won't make Twig of the World Tree into a big card. I didn't consider druids many other ways in which to cheat out mana, and by the time you have set up a combo with Twig into Sphere Into malygos or something you could have just as easily played Aviana + Innervate + Kun the forgotten king.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Don’t think it’d be quite as good as it would be in Magic, given that it helps to draw mana when you want it and draw a spell when you want it. Hearthstone doesn’t do that, so the difference between drawing your highest impact card and your lowest impact card is much closer than in Magic
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Scrying in HS - I like it.
You can kinda rearrange your deck with the last 2 neutral legendaries. Which can be powerful, I guess. Or at least - experiment-worthy.
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” ― George Bernard Shaw
EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
in a game about drawing cards knowing what you may draw should always be good.
and while this card and effect is powerful you should not forget that putting the card on the bottom of your deck means you may not see it for the rest of the game unless you are a very draw heavy class.
It should also be noted that this card does not offer its ability when drawing extra cards, so Plot Twist will not give you a chance to choose what you draw with this weapon.
It will still be very powerful with control decks, I believe, as they will have an extra chance to look for board clear and life sustain to keep the match going while their opponent runs out of steam, combo decks may also see this weapon in order to get crucial components for their win condition.
The only question is what do you substitute in your deck slot for this item?
Its just a meme card at best. Rng to draw it, and you rid that card you draw to the bottom of your deck.
It has a slightly positive effect of maybe condemning a bomb to the bottom (in effect means the bomb will never trigger) assuming it works the way I think it does but that's a small niche not worthy of a deckslot.
This will be excellent for Recruit Warrior. I can use the Armory to draw 2 weapons, 1 of these being it and can send any big minions back while I draw the lower control cards.
I never played MTG, so i am not familiar with Scry from personal experience, but the effect on this seems pretty interesting. Tho the biggest question will be, is this worth a card? You are already putting cards you do want to play in your deck and just drawing something else might not be worth it. Tho it could save you in a clutch, so who knows how will this end up performing.
Im honestly not too worried about Twig, whatever combo you were going to pull off, you just added another card to it. But then again, drawing cards was never Druids weakness, at least not in combo decks, so maybe it will push it over the top.

Seems like a support card for EDH in Magic haaha! Loved it!
At first I thought ”Wow!” After reading some of your comments, this is propably not as good as one could think at first sight. Still like the creativity behind this card.
I'm really happy this card is in the game. Not necessarily because of its strength, but because of its effect. I've been dying for Scry to exist in the game for years as it's the basis of my Time Traveler class, and it's finally here.
This card's strength is extremely hard to measure without playtesting (more so than almost any other card in the entire game), but if anything, I feel like this could be decent as a "deck filler" card. If you're 29/30 cards in your deck and not sure what the remaining one card should be, put this in.
I kept this in mind for my most recent games, and in about 2/3 of cases, I'd have used it fully, and in only the other games I was either lucky or unlucky enough, that it wouldn't have matered either way.
The text is "you can put it on the bottom and lose 1 durability," so does the weapon only lose durability when choose to scry to the bottom of the deck? If so, this card is totally broken.
Best part? DH can't use it because of hero power!
35 legendary deck though, for sure
Do I think the weapon is good ? Not really
But do I think adding a neutral weapon is a great innovation ? YES
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
First impression - strong card - but the longer i think about the weaker it looks to me. Could work in combo decks, but right now i do not see this showing up in the meta.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I'm not too sure if it's actually good, since we have never seen this effect in Hearthstone before, but I like that they're pushing the boundaries and exploring new design space.
Y'all talking how this can break Twig, but this can also break Aluneth, mind you.
Sadly not exactly guaranteed you need to draw the weapon first, and there is still a slight chance of the weapon being your last card. Which would be absolutely awful.
This card is AMAZING. most combo decks will run this. You don't want to top-deck your wincon because you want to discount it first with your hero power? (Quest Warlock) Now that i think about this, this might as well be a warlock legendary, as it also synergises with the new legendary. (So you can keep 1 big demon in your deck at all times)
This card is just amazing, and it's NEUTRAL. The FIRST neutral weapon in HS! This card is so creative, i love it.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I love that there is now a neutral weapon, but its effect seems kind of mediocre. I'm happy to be proven wrong!
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Seems... useless. Like I can’t find a spot for it in a deck. Will need to see if initial theory crafting can prove me wrong however
This ain't no place for a hero
Remind me of Brann passive adventure HP, and it is Neutral. Not sure if u want to slot 1 spot for this, but the effect seems strong
Guaranteed pyroblast

Nice Kenshin pic

1. Thank Yogg they hall of famed Leeroy Jenkins.
2. I am betting we get a support neutral minion that says: Battlecry: Draw the bottom card in your deck.
3. I can see this card working in decks with weapon buffs so you can swing with it such as pirate warrior with the plus of more consistent draw.
Overall I think this is an average card. Not game breaking but not bad either.
Scrying is more impactful on Magic, where you can use the effect to filter out land cards when you don't need them, for example. However, the idea of control decks having the ability to filter out bad cards against certain matchups is still good. Not sure it will good enough to see play though, especially when you consider that weapons are harder to Discover.
PS: "This is what it sounds like when spheres scry." Probably the best flavor text of the expansion.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
I love to see a new mechanincs in Hs and I hope that in future we will see more. This card is strong but not in all class. If you play a lot of weapons or you use your hero to attack this card is wasted. In a slow control deck, instead, this card shine for sure. So it's not an auto-include all deck, but strong enough to see some play
Auto include in every deck. Lmao.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Neutrals just feel so good this expansion
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Can't wait to use it
Never thought I would see a neutral weapon added to the game. Love it
There are so many variables in a game of Hearthstone and while one might put all cards they want to play in their deck, sometimes in certain matches against certain classes one of those cards might be worth putting on the bottom of the deck.
I'm very curious to see how much play this will end up seeing. Are there decks that are willing to have a dead draw to give them a chance for four potentially improved draws.
I didn't think they'd do neutral weapons, so this is a nice addition in that sense. I wonder if a neutral spell is next?
Hearthstone fan. Arch-nemesis: wifi drop-outs.
This obviously goes into every combo deck, but I can also see it in some control decks. The question is if a card that does nothing on board and gives you no card adventage is worth a card slot
Pretty nice to have a neutral weapon, I can see many combo decks running this. I definitely want to give it a go in some control matchups as well.
I think this will see play, I'm just not sure how powerful it truly is. It's effect is slow and if there's a lot of weapons in the meta, so will weapon removal.
Really nice cost and basically gives you another chance at top deck
All hail the banshee queen.
Another new effect for Hearthstone that is exciting to see!
I think this will be an auto-include outside of hyper-aggro and weapon decks just because the effect is so simple yet strong.
Unfortunately, DH has made weapon removal so prevalent that I expect this to get Ooze'd on turn 2 on the regular.
Nevertheless, I am super excited to try this out and see if my prediction is right!
Wild gonna get crazy with this card.
I love this card
-=alfi=-
Combo and straight up control can endure the card/tempo loss. Dunno if it's worth it, but they can. Aggro on the other hand got no business on this one. I think it's about HS pick a trick or two from other card games.
A demon hunter with this could make the first 3 turns a real nightmare, even more than before
A real legendary effect, don't about his consistence, but i like to see new things.
By The Holy Light!
I think this has its place in non-aggro decks that lack card draw, like Big Paladin and most Priest archetypes. Finding your key cards like Duel! or Galakrond, the Unspeakable sooner helps the consistency of these decks. I don't think this is run in combo decks as you'd rather focus on card draw which helps you reach your combo faster than Sphere of Sapience can.
For glory, honor, and gold!
I would have never expected a neutral weapon EVER! In Wild you now have a way to break your own Twig or Aluneth whenever you want/need.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I love that this is a neutral weapon. I'm also very excited to see how it ends up playing out, because I have to be honest - I love the mechanic, but I don't know how useful it's going to be in Hearthstone. My instinct is to say it's amazing, but that might be the Magic player in me.
Welcome to the site!
I think this is the first step toward the creation of Neutral spells.
For what regards the card in itself, I totally love it: I'm quite sure it won't be anywhere near an auto include in every single deck but I'll still be happy to unpack it.
Spice Lord and self-proclaimed Meme Master.
Our first neutral weapon! ...But it's got such narrow applications? Combo maybe?
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
The strangest card in the whole set. It may have potential, but hard to tell just yet. Regardless, good to see they are tackling different ideas and being more creative than ever!
