So basically a 3/9 that has to be dealt with + hard removal for 8 mana, that's not bad at all, but it remains to be seen if midrange/control Paladin has any viability for the first time in, 3 years is it?
This is a good card in my opinion. It basically always trades favorably and it leaves a big body on the board. Paladins have access to both healing and single target buffs. And the opponent needs to remove this immediately because it will easily destroy any minions they play. If they can't do that (a 3/9 isn't that easy to kill without direct removal) then this could just win the game on its own. The high cost makes it prohibitive for decks that don't intend to play a longer game and that's okay. It will fit well into Duel Paladin (probably will still be a meme) and Highlander Paladin. Libram Paladin could use it as well. I approve this.
I kept thinking Turalyon should have Batterhead's ability to attack again. It is an 8 mana 3/12, after all.
and we got an encyclopedia on a card which is unreadable.
Trouble with text on a card? Try Magic to experience it in all of its glory
I have no trouble and im playing mtg as well. That's what blizzard acts like, like umm.. like their playerbase are stupids? especially new ones?
Don't hit hard, these are not my words, they are all team 5's.
Sunkeeper Tarim throwback
this was my first thought when i saw this car
I see people mostly looking at this card through a fast vs slow match-up. For a control mirror it really isn't a bad card. 8 mana cards are more than viable in slow games and it almost always guarantees a +1 in card advantage at the bare minimum (at least one threat you remove via rush and a removal to answer it). Of course if the opponent doesn't want to waste a removal on a 3 attack minion on their next turn then the card advantage continues to increase.
I was initially confused by the text, but okay. This is a weird card.
A paladin card that isn't a forced aggro support archtype? What HS year is this?
Seems pretty good for control pally.
I think it's a very good card that would definitely see play at 7-mana. At 8-mana it's never going to compete. Here's hoping for a mid-season buff like they've done in the past.
Decent card in Standard, unplayable in Wild.
It just comes too late in the game.
But hey, Paladin already has plenty of broken cards and is solidly a top class in the meta, they can use some sub-optimal ones now, amiright?...
Should have rush to guarantee at least 1 kill. In it's current form it is useless. Not even a threat with 3 attack. And all this for 8 mana. Trash.
Lol my bad. :D Gotta learn to read.
With rush it actually seems OK.
I guess you can say you rushed that response (:
And this is why u should stay off drugs kids
It does have rush... What are you looking at?
Is this kind of rush minions that do something when attacking a new theme or something for this expansion?
As others have said its massively over costed, if it was able to attack again after killing something that would be ok so 8 mana remove 4 things but this is guaranteed to be one of my golden legendarys as its terrible!
