Update Sept 15 - We were right, the bundle is $10!
In today's patch, Scholar Jaina, the focus of the upcoming Book of Heroes adventure, has been added to the game and we've had a chance to take a look at her data!
In doing so, we've discovered that there are no unique voicelines for her. After an extensive look at the game, we are certain this is not a mistake on our end and Blizzard really intends to not give her custom voicelines. They could always patch the game again before next week to give her voicelines, but we don't believe this to be a mistake.
Scholar Jaina will be available in the store starting September 15 inside of a special bundle containing 5 Standard Mage card packs. Pricing for the bundle is currently unknown but we're expecting it to cost at least $10 USD. Are you considering picking up Scholar Jaina? Would you change your mind if she has custom voicelines? I wonder how much they would have paid Laura Baliey that made them believe having her add a few new voice lines would not repay the bundle cost.
Also interesting how many people would have bought it and will not now because of the lack of new voice lines. Seems like a pretty bad business decision.
I would have only purchased it if they had hired Ben Brode to recreate her original voice lines.
$10 is a high cost for a shitty skin (even in adventure skin are better) and 5 packs!
I mean, it still jaina after all. I don't know what other lines she could say that are related to this skin.
Some custom lines against certain heroes would be a good start.
While I agree there is space for a few extra/different lines of dialogue, interactions with other heroes would be a bit odd when applied to a younger version of her but not the normal skin. Surely the young Jaina knows very few other heroes beyond Arthas Menethil?
Off-topic but patch related: I can't find a topic of the wild pack bundle that just became available. I want to read people discussing its worth :P

Blizz is making it easy to not buy this lol.
Had to look back at an old story about the previous Mage Bundle, but I though the packs looked a little different. Only real difference is the color of the gem and middle ribbon going horizontally across the pack. I'm guessing they updated the look because it's a different Standard year? Or did they just not like the color of those elements from before?
So that means the packs won‘t stack in pack opener?
I bet there are a couple people out there, collecting special packs for whom this might be relevant l

Without any new voicelines this is nothing more than a glorified entrance with a new portrait. If I wanted a new portrait so badly blizz, I would've just drawn my own and paste it on my desktop screen.
It's baffling why they choose to do this, I highly doubt it's laziness given that they're putting so much effort into Book of Heroes as a concept, so it must be an intentional decision on their part. Would love a developer statement about this one, to at least clear up the why

SOOO LAZY!!!! I would never buy something so obviously a rip off. How hard is it to add new hero skins to the game?!
I was considering buying it but without custom voices it's not good enough even with the packs.
Welp, that's a bit disappointing, but on the other hand, we don't have to buy it.
Well, if it is just a portrait and 5 decks for 5 bucks or, say the same costing as a card back 3 bucks or 500 gold... that would make since.
Just a different picture to look at like a card back.
