In a tweet this afternoon, Blizzard has posted a short video alongside a hashtag that was used as a Scholomance Expansion teaser.
What does this mean? Are next week's patch notes going to have anything really interesting? This could just be some new marketing campaign Blizzard is using for Hearthstone, but the timing feels weird. We know that we are supposed to be getting a new gamemode before the third set of the year comes out, so are we finally there?

In EDH, players start with twice as much life, and have a deck of 99 unique cards.
They also start the game with a commander, a legendary creature, in the command zone. The colours of the commander mandate what colours the cards in the deck can be, and the commander can be cast from the command zone and returns there when it is removed, increasing in cost each time.
In most cases, this means you can use silly build-around legendaries to their full potential unlike in regular constructed formats, where they are much too slow to see play.
That sounds lovely! First thought - Gazlowe. Now you've got me excited.
Hopefully this is good. Hearthstone is getting really boring lately.
The card text and stats and name look like it is

It works with the video as well. I doubt it is the card they are promo-ing. Probably the new mode.
Seems like an ad on a YouTube video. So having “#Mastertheunexpected” as the new hashtag could lead us to believe it has something to do with the new mode.
I know around the launch of Scholomance HS was releasing short little videos of legendary minions on their twitter feed.
It could be a teaser but I think it's honestly just a commercial for social media
Hmm. Perhaps a clue to the new game mode, where you can guarantee you have a certain card?
Another comment said something about MTG's Commander being translated into Hearthstone, and I am really hoping for that.
You choose one creature to be your commander - it gets put into the command zone at the start of the game. You can play your commander from the command zone as if it were in your hand with one exception - it costs 2 more every time you play it beyond the first. If your commander dies or is exiled, you can put it back into your command zone.
Yes, that is more or less what I was imagining. It might want a few tweaks for HS though (I can't imagine a repeatable Reno or Zephrys that you always have ready when you need it would be a good thing).
That's absolutely terrifying, hopefully some cards will be banned.
I recognised that the card back has a different art style than other Hs card backs. But other than that, I have no idea what the new game mode could be about.
"I hope for luck"
In this economy meta? You bloody well better!
