Really nice value and combo potential

Priests will love this, especially since the class is mostly just control archetypes right now and use lots of spells. Will definitely see play. 

On paper, this looks like an excellent card, and my initial impression was that this would be run everywhere. And while I won't say this is bad, I actually think it is pretty strong, I do think it may be a bit easy to overestimate. Remember Fate Weaver? This card was supposed to make Galakrond Priest super powerful by giving them a quick and easy way to set up their combos or just get extra ramp.

Granted, this card is better in the sense that you don't need to set it up or build a deck around it. But all the same, I don't think this is quite as powerful as it appears.

Now, personally, I adore full greed value Priest, so I welcome this card into the fold.  That said, I can see when enough card generation is enough, and this is starting to really push it.  Also, this supports combo decks and I hate combo decks, so that makes me sad.  

Seems good since it permanently reduces cost so if you have 3 spells in hand.. this is "free" according to the ordering it should reduce the cost of the spell as well..

in wild this could make ress priest viable again..? cause it makes the 6 mana cheat card cheaper.

I think it will be very good. I assume the spell discovered is also discounted.

Actually there is no otk on standar. I think that pushes spell priest, but not combo.

An interesting combo enabler, but also can help to set up a lethal turn for raza priest by discounting their hand. I wouldn't be surprised if this finds a slot in raza priest, and any combo deck that wants spells discounted will probably run this over Thaurissan unless their combo is very out there.

Would be terrified to see this card in wild, especially after Emperor Thaurissan hits the board too. 

Well this card is interesting. This is a combo enabler, a value option, helps control decks get removal out a bit more early and helps Fortune Teller. Seems like a super solid card that i hate to play against already.

Standard: 100% must-include in control priest decks. Helps get their clears out earlier, and it's value. So Galakrond priest loves it.

Wild: OTK Enabler, and makes OTK Priest more consistent and less reliant on Emperor Thaurissan ticks. Raza priest probably likes it too, because getting cheaper spells = more cards to play in a turn = more FACE dmg = "GG ez." :[

With the cards revealed from priest at this moment, I guess team 5 is pushing a spell heavy deck, maybe it can be playable with all the discounts and card generation

Priest-haters gonna hate any Priest card that comes out if it actually fits the class identity.

This card is fine, and the fortune-telling flavor is perfect for the set.

I play priest and I hate playing against priest, even with priest, so I understand.

I'm almost certain this will see play. Discover spell effects in priest is extremely powerful and the discounts will be felt, especially since priest generates spells at such an extreme extent.

If they could, Priest could go on an endless Palm Reading loop for 7 mana:

1. Play Palm Reading and discover another Palm Reading and reduce the following cards: 2x Palm Reading to 2 mana and 2x Renew to 0 mana - total cost: 3 mana
2. Play both Renews, get two more Palm Reading that cost 3 mana - total cost: 3 mana

You'd accomplish virtually nothing out of it though unless there was a Nazmani Bloodweaver on board and an OTK combo in hand. But, even then, the chances of this OTK would be minimal. Cards can't discover themselves because of Nature Studies, which can go infinite by itself. Still, nice math problem you gave me, so thanks.

Nice card for the priest bad card for not the priest getting discounts is always a powerful move

Great addition for Spell Priest.

I'll just wait for the people cleverer than me to tell me the broken combo I should be doing with this - probably in Wild, where such things usually lurk.

Spell slinging shenanigans intensify.  Strong ish card, but I don't see any real combos that will break the game out of the cost reduction.

Priest got a lot of cost reduction cards this expansion and I'm excited to see what can be made with it all.

Shadow Essence out a turn earlier might help Big Priest climb out of the low tiers. I'm on the fence on if it can edge out the tight list Raza priest already has.

I was not that excited by this initially, but then I realized how you can gain more mana discounts than the mana used to spend on Palm Reading. I think quite a few Priest decks will consider this, but there is a chance that this is too slow at 3 mana.

I hope they remember to remove this spell from the pool of spells that can be discovered by it. Also, I presume that it would end up discounting the discovered spell since it should go to hand before the discount is applied.

Combo, Control, Tempo, you're putting this in every Priest deck.

Is good card. Discover, and mana discount on a cheap spell for a class that already likes to play slow, spell-centric decks and have lots of spells in hand already.
