Worth noting that this is pretty good against reborn minions. But in general Hagatha's Scheme is superior to this.
Oh god this is so good! It reminds me of the Kazakus potions you'd get from time to time, but you can run two of these in your deck. And you can Haunting Visions to get more!
Control Shaman absolutely incoming, can't wait to craft this up.

Damn. And there's no overload so you can Walking Fountain or Hagatha at 8. Really strong card.
Solid removal. If control shaman can survive it's got some bonkers removal with this and Hagatha's Scheme.
Now you kids are probably saying to yourselves, "Hey Matt, how can we get back on the right track?"
keep in mind that we still have yet to see the plague card for shaman, so it looks like shaman will have some amazing board clears this expansion.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Board clear isn't what's holding control shaman back though.
Nice to have off Haunting Visions I suppose.
Really useful card against the new keyword reborn and token druid to negate the deathrattle given by Soul of the Forest
I love Weasel Tunneler and there is nothin you can do about it.
doesn't kill a board of giants, unplayable.
While the card is really good, being 7 mana forces you to most of the time skip a turn. It's the same reason Flamestrike (another really good card, though worse than this one) was not a auto-include in control mage builds troughout HS history.
It does have the bonus of being much more reliable than Hagatha's Scheme, which is a huge bonus for it.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Objectively strong card, but 7 damage aoe is just one damage short of clearing boards full of 8 hp minions like Mountain Giant, which is the biggest issue of control shaman right now in my opinion. Due to Hex and Earth Shock we can deal with deathrattle decks pretty good anyway.
That's what makes it pretty balanced actually.

Think its its quite good even though scheme might be better. Nice point in wild is that it is really nice vs odd paladin or any other divine shield heavy deck. Definetly potential. Kinda weird tho that they now finally give shaman good board clears but in the same year so they rotate out together. Volcano is almost the only other good AoE
Spellpower totem, or Good ole' Bloodmage Thalnos should do the trick there.

suck it Divine Shield minions
Beside reborn, good against token and egg decks
Egg hunter - Token Druid - zoo lock - as well as divine shield.
It gets +2 spell damage from the basic totem as well ( Deal 6 then 3 dmg )
It doesn't get +2 spell damage because that totem would die after the first damage proc, so it would do 6 then 2.

Chimera, imagine if Tainted Zealot was still in the meta though. Then it *would* work (6, then 3 in that instance). That would be amazing...

Very true, or any other sort of spell damage that could survive taking a hit for 5. Much better synergy than a simple totem, but at least the +1 damage can help to clear giants

Plagues aren't going to be just board clear. They are spells that affect both sides of the board in big ways. I think
7 mana deal 2 damage to all divine shield minions. Yeah, no.
Card seems good though. Although expensive board clears aren't exactly the reason control shaman is Inferior to control warrior.
normally divine shield minions have low hp.. so it might be enough, the double damage apply seems really good.
it's also a really good card vs reborn and deathrattle minions (although it kills mechanical whelp in reverse).
I think this card is very good and we didn't even see the plague card for shaman which is also a board clear of sort (my guess it's a symmetrical Devolve).
Paying 7 mana to deal 2 damage to divine shield minions is never good. You either clear a few 1-3 drops, or deal 2 damage to minions with 4+ health. Either way 7 mana is far too high of a mana cost to accomplish this.
This is to kill the Token druid decks that spawn 2/2s after their minions die

Yes, but that wasn't the intention of the person who I originally quoted. If token druid is even a thing next expansion.
Looks really strong to me. I somehow have a feeling an overload would have been adequate.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Seems pretty solid. Good card for Control Shaman.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Hooo boy, Token Druids and any token/deathrattle decks will not like this card.
It's another way to kick Druid in the nuts.
