Its just cute little card, both in design and effect. Secrets in mage are hardly anything to snuff at, and being able to do it twice for 4 mana is just insane.
Highlander will want it. Not so sure about tempo mage though.
I must point out.. this card's flavor makes no sense.. what's the connection between throwing rings at a turtle and discovering secrets + casting them?
is this turtle a mage?
Literally unplayable!! I don't care if this card turns out to be good -10 in design.
Obvious comparison to Arcane Keysmith. No body, but double Secrets when Corrupted. I'm calling it playable, but not great.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Maybe the reward for winning is a secret? :D
Regardless of design, it'll see play. In Highlander now and maybe in some future decks, it's quite slow as you'd be playing this on Turn 6 without any mana cheating. Mage secrets are good enough for this to see play.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Okay blizz/HS team, what were they smoking? Because this card is OP AF. Arcane Keysmith was pretty much must include in WILD secret mage and highlander mage, and Ring Toss is powercreeped version of Arcane Keysmith, and Ring Toss is a spell, meaning it gets generated a lot. WAIT IT'S ALSO A CORRUPTION CARD! This means that Y'Shaarj, the Defiler gives you the corrupted version for free... so it's 10 mana get a lot of free cards, and 4+ free secrets if you played at least 2 corrupted copies of Ring Toss... oh no...
Standard: Really strong card, will see play in nearly every mage deck. It's just that good, and mage often have multiple big cards. Also fits perfectly in highlander mage, and i think highlander mage might rise back to high tier 2/tier 1 if they include Y'Shaarj, the Defiler package instead of most of the dragon package, for even more secrets and stuff. Highlander decks with a huge board after Y'Shaarj, the Defiler and random discovered Counterspell and stuff will be really hard to remove... and people WILL complain about it....
Wild: "AHH sheet, here we go again." Secret mage will probably dominate in the meta again, all because of Ring Toss replaces Arcane Keysmith. Okay it might be hard for secret mage to corrupt it, but it might fill the role of a reload card, so you get more secrets after using a Cloud Prince. It will also see play in highlander and OTK mage decks, because this just increases the odds of getting Ice Block even more times.
When you open a lot of Ring Tosses, don't dust them. Because this will surely get nerfed. Even at 5 mana it will see a lot of play, and it will still be considered a must include...
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Not great in any aggressive mage list, and I'm not overly excited about this in quest mage or similar.
You can put pretty much anything that generates value into reno mage, so this goes in just like everything else.
This post is discussing the wild format.
This is a strong card, and mage doesn't even need to slot it in their deck since they have so many discover spell mechanics.
Powerful by itself, if Mage somehow has a Yogg'Saron deck this will be included, since having a 10/10 body and casting 2 secrets is great tempo.
My comment refers to Wild. I think you overestimate the usefulness of this card especially in Secret Mage. The obvious comparion is Arcane Keysmith which is not an auto-include in secret mage deck lists. My Secret Mage does not run it and probably won't run Ring Toss either. The corrupt will be difficult to pull off due the low mana curve (Aluneth is the highest cost card). In Highlander Mage this is far better and will probably be run, but I don't see this as OP.
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
The artwork and name don't really communicate the effect at all.
This can be quite good/annoying if you do Corrupt it. 2 Secrets for 4 mana is nothing to scoff at. Unfortunately, if you can't Corrupt it, then it's just bad. People naturally compare this to Arcane Keysmith when it isn't corrupted, although I also think Ancient Mysteries is a good comparison to illustrate how weak it is without corruption.
This is a problem that most Corrupt cards (so far) share, which might be what causes its downfall.
Arcane Keysmith but without body, when corrupted slightly better, but really can only be considered in Y'Shaarj, the Defiler deck as one of the worse cards but just to fill out the value.

Annoying secret generation for control mage, woo. I'm annoyed by the effect, but severely disappointed by the flavor, or lack thereof. There are so many secret related things you can have in a fair, like a house of mirrors or some guessing carnival game, but they went with a ring toss of all things.
Arcane Keysmith is a pretty strong card, and this can get double the effect. Paying 1 extra mana for a secret is worth it for the flexability you get from the discover. Getting 2 secrets for 4 mana is just insane value. And I don't imagine corrupting this will be too difficult at only 4 mana.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Secret Mage has some tools to generate value and tempo, like Apexis Smuggler and, more importantly, Cloud Prince, which corrupts this card while providing a 4/4 body and a Fireball. Assuming the Secret that triggers Cloud Princes battlecry is still online, it also allows to trim down on the discovered secret pool from a newly corrupted Ring Toss, which gives you reliability in getting the secrets you need for the game state.
The deck seems insanely synergistic but also seems like it will fold heavily if all pieces aren't stranded together at the same right time, making it highly unreliable and making the deck overall not very competitive; however, the highrolls the deck provides when the cards align perfectly make Secret Mage a possible threat in the new expansion providing some new synergies show up, because the deck can use Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate as endgame, for example.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Just thinking about how hard it would be to corrupt in Secret Mage, it may not find too many places in decks like that. However, with Dragon Mage and Highlander Mage still very much in the game for standard, I can see a number of decks running this regardless if they are secret focused or supported.
Cool effect, bad design. :(
By The Holy Light!
This seems reaaaaally good, most Mage decks are control decks, which will make this be played 90% of the time corrupted.
Even in uncorrupted form is very strong imho for it's mana cost: Mage secret 3 mana and just 1 mana for a discover effect, it have strong tempo play for 1 mana less on discover.
In it's corrupted version it's 2 secrets (6 mana) and 2 discovers (like 3.5 - 4) mana.
Very strong
I'm a little unimpressed but does have some niche uses. The main advantage for me is the card is a discover, which means you can decide what to get depending on the game state or situation. And when corrupted, you get two rolls to get the card you want.
I think this will see play as a discovered card not as a card you put in your deck.
The corrupted Artwork had me like : is this Mal'Ganis ?
* Beyonce's flavor intensifies *
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
It needs a 5 mana card to be corrupted... And then it's two semi-random for 4 mana. At second glance this doesn't seem any good to me.
The flavor is a hard sell for me as well, and the card seems rather slow. I'm still expecting to see this thanks to the amount of random generation Mages have :D
This will see definite play in control/highlander decks. It’s a pretty strong card when corrupted.
No idea what they were thinking with the flavour though..
secret mage potential
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
Seems a bit bad the earliest you can play this is 6 so its sort of like already having the two secrets in your hand to play them except you can also hero power or something I guess
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Good enough to even see play in Wild Secret (Reno) Mage
Only good if corrupted, but you're very happy to get this from random card generation.
Another strong card for secret mage to stand on. Also, I love the corrupted turtle art.
"Some inspirational quote from some famous person" - Some famous person
Doesn't make the cut in regular secret mage, but highlander secret mage has plenty to corrupt with and could enjoy the added value.
Secret mage is back baby
All hail the banshee queen.
This is at odds with itself as most Mage secrets are tempo based, while corrupting Ring Toss for its maximum effect is slow. Secret Mage doesn't run this, and I don't think Highlander Mage does either as the only two secrets they care about are Ice Barrier and Flame Ward.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Nope.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
This card is very good in standard and really good in wild.
Probably gets slot in Control Mage decks, especially when the decklist is already crowded to fit in the whole secret package.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
I think you can probably slot this into Highlander Mage for a bit more survivability and potential counterplay.
This ain't no place for a hero
Good corrupted for mague and also for rogue. Secret archetypes greatly welcomes this little turtle.

Very strong, secret Mage is definitelly going to be a thing again
It's OK, the biggest problem is that Secret Mage doesn't feel like it's going to be very powerful in Standard. The place this could make it is in Reno Mage.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
More secret mage support for Standard. Is the available secret pool good enough that we will want to run secret mage in standard?
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Favourite card, favourite card, TURTLE TURTLE TURTLE!
Obviously I'll be running this in every Mage deck until it rotates. Good if it Corrupts... but is it worth losing that art?
