Slow down there, Wretched Tiller! Our farming friend was going a little too fast on his tractor and got caught by the Blizzard police and will be serving some time in jail next week.
Dean Ayala confirmed on Twitter this evening that a change will be arriving "sometime next week" for the interaction which may just be the easiest OTK combo to pull off in a game. Until that happens, we recommend staying away from Wild because the ladder is absolutely infested with vine hysteria! Not sure how the interaction works? Want to make people hate the fact they decided to queue? Here's how it goes!
- Play Wretched Tiller.
- Make the Tiller immune by playing Deathspeaker.
- Cast Hysteria.
There will, of course, need to be other minions in play for this to work as Wretched Tiller will need to perform at least 15 attacks, dealing 15 damage to minions in the process and 30 to the enemy hero. No details have been provided on how the interaction will be nerfed.
And Wild fans say Blizzard never gives them any nerfs. Sorry, I had to say it, you can't give me a podium and have me not make a comment like that. Love you.
Quote From IksarHS Looking to get a change out for the Tiller/Hysteria interaction sometime next week. Hope this farmer enjoys his time in the sun while it lasts!

I'm a little late to the discussion here, but just wanted to put this out there for anyone who, like me, may have just heard the news. Guessing Deathspeaker gets nerfed to "Battlecry: Give a friendly minion Immune during (on? until the end of?) its next attack." Deathspeaker would fully retain its intended functionality, so the wombo combo can be deleted with no (almost no?) collateral damage to Arena balance or other decks that might run any of these three cards. Thoughts?
My speculated reason why Blizzard allowed this combo to happen...
Wretched Tiller starts seeing a ton of play, greeting us with his "Golly Bob Howdy!"
Blizz devs be like:
Tiller's response: "I am undead!"
Kingsbane is loving all these Tiller decks!
Honestly this is the perfect time to run counters and have a little fun before the nerf. Try Swizard’s Hunter list or play Rogue with Flik Skyshiv and Wretched Tiller. There are shenanigans to be had here!
Oh my god - Flik -> Tiller is absolutely hilarious!
Going to nerf Tiller as follows...whenever this minion attacks deal 2 damage to random enemy minion
There's actually a really strange interaction with that text.
With this text, if the Wretched Tiller attacks a minion, and the 2 damage ends up killing the minion it was originally going to attack, the minion will die, but it will not exhaust the Wretched Tiller's attack and it will be able to attack again and potentially repeat this effect over and over again.
This interaction can be seen if with Blackguard and Truesilver Champion. If you attack with Truesilver Champion while you control a Blackguard, the healing effect of Truesilver will trigger Blackguard's effect to deal damage to a random enemy minion. If this damage kills the minion you intended to hit with Truesilver Champion, the minion will die, but you will be able to attack with Truesilver Champion again and it won't lose Durability. With enough luck, you can potentially kill a full board of 2-Health minions with this interaction.
I have no idea if this is a bug or not, but this interaction has been in the game since Blackguard was added to the game and it still haven't been changed.
Tiller can still have his jerb. But the promotion he got with one of the easiest OTKs ever that causes a player to lose their turn if they even have Ice Block up was a bit much.
That transcends just a nerf and goes in to bug fix territory. (though of course even with a fix to miss next turn bug the combo needs addressing).
Just a minor reword or mechanic tweak to tiller, hysteria or immune seems sensible.

"And Wild fans say Blizzard never gives them any nerfs."
What a BS! Where can I downvote this insulting bias?
Who ever said Blizz NEVER gives Wild nerfs? Nobody said that. The complains are rightfully about overtuned decks which need a nerf and it takes far too long for Blizz to do something for Wild.
I am shocked how a mod can mock a part of the community just because he doesn`t care for this format. Seeing something like this again may cause me to leave this site...
EDIT: Never mind, screw it, I am out of here. Such an behavior is intolerable from an admin, because there isn`t even a way to punish the person on the top - beside "leaving the town". Yeah come one downvote me, I don`t care anymore, have fun! Love you.
Do you need a hand picking all your toys up now you've thrown them out of your pram?
Bro, I get it! As a fellow Wild player you feel neglected and hurt when this type of shit is allowed to exist. But really... That shit from Flux should not offend you. You're on edge and upset over Blizz seemingly ignoring a format you love and it just triggered you, I'm sure. I am also upset with this situation, especially when you think back to Shadowboxer and the alteration it got prior to Zilliax coming out. Boxer was a Wild only card, but they foresaw a problem and corrected it prior to launch of Boomsday. And that wasn't even a 30+ combo potential unless you first played Amara, Warden of Hope and then lost 30 or more hp!
It was a standard issue, but they also had a similar pre-launch alteration to Reckless Experimenter when SN1P-SN4P was being added to the game. So why not make pre-release changes to prevent this from happening? Maybe they didn't catch it because Tiller is often a more or less forgotten card. Or maybe they didn't think it would become so popular so fast. Or maybe they just didn't care to make the adjustment! Regardless, for Wild players it sucks!
But again, as Flux said that was just a tongue-in-cheek bit of humor. I feel like I expect that from this site, and frankly love it because it fits my sarcastic sense of humor too, And this community is far less toxic than many of the others you will find out there for Hearthstone. Example: That one site that were... pawn brokers? I can't remember what it's called or what they did now.
So maybe you'll reconsider, maybe you won't. But I truly feel if you stop being a part of this community it's you who is missing out, not OoC. Just saying!
Is it too hard to have a laugh these days? I didn't realize that one part of the community was strictly off-limits.
Similar jokes have been made at the expense of standard players as well, which greatly outnumber every other type of player in Hearthstone. People are passionate about the modes they like and I respect that, but at the end of the day, Hearthstone is meant to be fun and if we can't laugh together about how the community reacts to stuff, I really don't know what else to say.
This is the problem with the internet in general these days. People take stuff too seriously, are too polarized with their opinions, and it's too risky to say anything at all anymore. Well, that's one thing I'm not okay with and it's why we actually write opinion-based content on Out of Cards (you'll see writers give opinions fairly frequently whereas when we ran HearthPwn, that was a big no because how dare we possibly upset someone). Shit, comedians can't even say anything anymore because there is always a group of people that will get upset and cancel culture goes hard after them.
I think it's absurd that Blizzard won't make changes to cards that are clearly overpowered and hurting the game. But, Dean Ayala also said in his recent Q&A that maybe they need to gather more opinions of wild players to see if they're wrong. I can tell you, based on the years of talk about wild that I've been a witness to, Blizzard is wrong.
And although I may not play the format, because it is absolutely too much of a hassle to get into, I don't hate wild. If I had that much disdain for it we wouldn't spend time every week working on content for it on the site and I certainly wouldn't have put the time in to make sure that in our homepage deck widget, community members could set wild as their preferred choice to see decks; Wild was the entire reason we let people set their own default sort.
I say none of this to "try and get you to stay" or whatever, I'm just not letting this go unanswered because you said I don't care about the format. Also, if people really want to use "cause me to leave the site" as a threat, it isn't a particularly great one to ever use against someone so I recommend not doing so in the future.
I don't see a problem here: you provoked Wild players, lightly but intentionally, and then you got a reaction, possibly exaggerated but harmless. You both are within acceptable territory and the consequences aren't that serious.
Is this something new, brought by the internet? Of course not, people always made jokes and people always reacted to those jokes in different ways. So, clearly, this is not the problem with internet these days, or at least it is not an internet-specific problem.
On the subject, I'm glad that Blizzard is acting, the combo seems to be too easy and popular.
I agree that toxic people have always existed before the internet, but the internet has definitely created more entitled and opinionated people. When you have a convenient platform where you can voice your opinions and be heard by thousands of people worldwide, it is a lot easier to get it in your head that your opinion matters more. And similarly, when it becomes easier to listen to other peoples opinions, it becomes easier to get triggered by them.
The internet may not inherently create more toxic people, but it makes it a lot easier for people to become toxic. That's how I see it at least.
Yup, it has allowed certain groups of people to connect that otherwise would not be able to in day-to-day life since it is such a small portion of the population. Now, this has also been a positive because there are some great social causes out there that have benefited greatly from this power, propelling knowledge into the greater public, but it's when this is used for evil that it becomes a problem.
Shit, the majority of my friend group is digital and I would never have known they were out there had it not have been for the internet. Such a great tool for meeting people that are close to you in niche interests!
Golly Bob Howdy! What’s the world coming to if someone can’t make a lighthearted joke?
You do realize that Flux is making fun of toxic players and not Wild players in general, right?
ok, good riddance
