Hearthstone's "Happy New Year" Legendary Quests Are Live! Earn Card Packs for Battlegrounds, Duels, and Ranked Play

The new legendary questline to celebrate the "new year" is now live in Hearthstone. It's a bit too soon for the Lunar New Year and its a bit too late for the 2021 New Year but hey, we're getting free packs so who cares?

Update: Live Worldwide now!

  • Each quest that is completed rewards you with 3 packs:
    • 2x Darkmoon Faire
    • 1x Scholomance
  • No experience appears to be rewarded for these quest completions.

Read on for details on the three different quests you will be completing, in order, to obtain your whopping 9 packs.

  • I have two accounts (EU) and I only got the quest chain on one of them.

  • So I am on EU and still dont have this? Wtf? Is this one fo those will-arrive-later-on-mobile things?

    • I'm in the same situation on EU and not on mobile, except I can't recall whether I saw it briefly and it was gone by the next login, or just never really there. I know I have it active in two other regions. Another lovely bug that we have to report... 

  • I got the quests yesterday, i completed the first two and today when i wanted to do the last one it didnt appears. Very strange ! It feel like it wasnt wanted to give us the packs

    • Just completed the second and the 3rd didn’t appear eithe

      • Same.  Completed the first 2 and never got the third one.

         

  • So how many people are, like, not getting this quest? (NA server)

  • Is this in EU only?
    Dont have the start quest on the US server

  • I don't get one , should I do something to get the quest , I play on NA and last check is now , no quest yet .

  • I got 2 legendaries from my free packs! The dual-class Druid-Hunter one, Shando, from Scholomance, and Maxima the Hunter legendary from Darkmoon Faire! Definitely worth the time I wouldn't normally spend in Duels.

  • Rough set of quests for anyone who does not enjoy the variety of modes offered for Hearthstone play! Speaking for myself, I would be happy to never "have" to play another battleground or duel ever again. And if wild or casual is your bag you're left entirely in the cold.

      It's reasonable that they want to direct players into each mode with quests. I like a bit of variety, personally. I Don't like BG but I queued into that, went AFK for a few minutes, and ended up getting the packs and a Windlord achievement. \o/

  • You had me at free packs! Hopefully, I'll get some new copies of Hysteria to replace the ones I dusted. :)

  • I'm really glad you said something about this not being out on NA yet, because I WAS ABOUT TO FREAK OUT!!! :D

  • Oh darn... free stuff?  I love it.  I hate having to play Battlegrounds, but I'll gladly do it for this reward.
