It can go over taunt tho and if you need to trade with it, it keeps all health, it is better.
Ironically king krush himself is still in standard when he's being completely objectively outclassed in every way by Alexstrasza and Illidari Inquisitor
That beast tag must be really carrying it for poor old king krush.
Oh, good point! Can you technically give Illidari Inquisitor "windfury"? If you attack with it, and then your hero attacks too? Pretty sure that's how it would work, right? But i imagine the order will matter, if your hero attacked first, it might use up Inquisitors attack for the turn.
Finishers aren't worth much if they don't actually finish. It's *supposed* to be good. Still less of an instant burst than original Alex could be.
Big difference is that new Alex can be a finisher. Old Alex could only start you up. Not to mention that it will get broken with other cards that create (cheaper) copies, it just will :) Also, Wild.
one question ... if i already have some legendary cards from classic set and they are now in core set (we get all cards for free) can i disenchant these legendarys now for extra dust and then i recieve them back as a core set versions ?
They are loaned to you.
Yes, you essentially can DE the whole classic set if you play only standard, Even though I don’t recommend that. Keep in mind that the core set is due to change every year and when the free copy rotates, you lose access to the card
Yes. But if they remove them from the Core set next year, you will lose them. So do not do that if you play wild.
The way I understand it, we will be given an extra, non disenchantable version of the cards which will leave our collection as soon as they rotate out. So no, do not disenchant anything.
Well, Mage is taking a big hit, especially all variants of Freeze Mage. Congratulations, we stopped Blizzard greed.
how's it taking a hit? isn't permanent +2 spell damage good?
Its only permanent assuming you'd continuously have minions in your deck, something which mage often dont do well with. The fact that this card is only useful when there are good spells in your deck limits the usefulness of that permanence.
Also, the fact that most of mage's good spells are now kaput, its really all down to the expansions to make up for it. I'd still prefer antonidas to be honest.
The cards that are leaving. No more Frost Nova, Blizzard, Polymorph, Arcane Missles or Frostbolt
oh I wasn't able to see the cards that are leaving. It's been a busy afternoon at the office
I was hoping they would drop secrets from Paladin
If they were going to do that they'd probably wait until all secrets from card sets are rotating out. And likely wait for Hanar to rotate from Rogue, as not having Paladin in the secret classes would mess up his functionality a little. They did reduce Paladin core secrets from 4 to only 3, and only 1 secret from an expansion (Oh My Yogg!) is carrying over into the new year. So your dream could become reality if we see no new Paladin secrets over the course of this year.
same and put them in rogue(and had hoped wouldve given ANYTHING for deathrattle rogue
Just my initial run through the full list on playhearthstone.com I had some questions. First, Crimson Sigil Runner is in Core but is from a set staying in Standard (Ashes of Outland). Same thing with Spectral Sight, Ashtongue Battlelord, and Warglaives of Azzinoth (the last of which is buffed down to 5 mana again, but with only 3 durability now instead of 4). The rest of DH's Core are all Basic card, Initiate cards, or new. But I'm curious to know now, if they took cards from Ashes, are they removing any cards from Scholomance and Darkmoon early? Are they balancing out the available card pool now? Seems like it, or they would have found four other cards for those Core slots. We'll see!
Then in Paladin I see Stand Against Darkness but... Day at the Faire is still around too. I guess you'd include both because one doesn't require the corrupt effect, but until we see more cards, it's hard to imagine running Faire and Darkness in the same deck. I wonder if they are coming out with more Dudes synergies soon? They already added Warhorse Trainer and the new 2 mana perma-buff +1 attack to all summoned Dudes the rest of the game, so... likely I guess we'll see more Dude centered cards.
Interesting choices so far in just the bit I've looked at already.
The number of Silver Hand Recruit cards pally got concerns me a bit to be honest, especially as it likely does signal further support for the archetype (probably in expansion 2 if that's Alliance focused). Lothraxion is going to be so obnoxious if played on curve...
