Well, there goes Anyfin Paladin's dream of a bright future.
That would contradict the philosophy of "Anyfin Can Happen"
I guess Anyfin Can Happen, and you'd think that removing Murloc Warleader from standard would at least mean that ol' bluegill here would be spared. Apparently not. I mean, is there any reason to not just spare the poor fish the embarrassment and remove this along with warleader away from standard so wild players can keep on dreaming?
As it stands, this card is 2 mana deal 3 to a minion. Not entirely bad given that 3 is that magic number most minion needs to even remotely be plausible. But outside of a dedicated murloc deck, which is made infinitely harder to build without warleader, it's simply not going to happen.
I like that blizz removes that cheap charge minions like Bluegill Warrior or Stonetusk Boar, that cards limits card design, specially for classes with synergies with beast and buffs.
I believe they responded that, internally, not everyone on the dev team agrees with this change, so given the community feedback, there is a possibility, that there will be a Wild version and a Core version of Bluegill and Stunetusk :o
One would say this change was rushed. I like the change though since I don't like OTKs.
The buff this guy received just make him so much better, but also sad that he only has Rush now.
Happy Stonetusk Boar got the axe, but Bluegill Warrior? Sure it can be problematic.. sometimes. But this kills Anyfin Can Happen paladin, which is a fairly popular/liked deck. I feel bad for the Anyfin Can Happen Paladin players. They weren't playing OP or Tier 1 decks, but a pretty fair one instead and got punished for it. R.I.P.
