If you were one of the players that opened up a Classic Pack and received cards you weren't supposed to, your Arcane Dust compensation has arrived! What was the issue?
- 16 cards were in Classic Packs that should not have been.
- Players that opened Classic Packs between March 25 and shortly after Barrens launched could get these cards.
We first got wind of this a few hours ago when our own FrostyFeet reported that he had logged into the game and received Arcane Dust from an outside source. Blizzard has confirmed that they are done distributing the dust now so if you were a part of this issue, you can now make use of that dust anywhere you'd like; May we suggest Forged in the Barrens cards?
Were you affected by the issue? How much dust did you receive?
Quote From @PlayHearthstone Compensation for this has been completed. Arcane Dust has now been distributed to players impacted by this issue in all regions.
Here is the original statement on the bug.
Quote From Kerfluffle We’re aware of an issue where players could still receive the 16 cards that were added to the Classic set later in Hearthstone’s history from Classic and Golden Classic packs between when the 20.0 patch was released (3/25) up until shortly after expansion launch (3/30). We’ll be identifying players who received these cards during this five-day window, and issuing Arcane Dust equivalent to a full refund for each card from the following list in the coming days:
• Icicle
• Tome of Intellect
• Call of the Void
• Pilfer
• Siegebreaker
• Gift of the Wild
• Righteousness
• Brightwing
• High Inquisitor Whitemane
• Barrens Stablehand
• SI:7 Infiltrator
• Arcane Devourer
• Kul Tiran Chaplain
• Scarlet Subjugator
• Shadow Word: Ruin
• Natalie SelineWe’ll update here once these dust refunds have been distributed.

I got the non-golden bundle which came with 2 legendaries. I was aiming for Sylvanas and Ragnaros I dusted years ago. Didn't get them, but I had other legendaries missing. Then I ended up crafted them anyway (Classic is fun).
Today I've received 6400 dust. I don't know why it's that much, not that I complain lol. Did they compensate the dust I used to craft them or did Blizzard get generous? Can't be the latter, it can't be.
8400 dust. I guess that's the payoff for hoarding Tavern Brawl rewards for a year.
When I opened the free golden classic pack and saw that orange glow I got pretty excited. Then I clicked on the card, revealing that it was Brightwing. Needless to say I was pretty bummed that I had gotten a card that couldn't be played in the classic format. The 1600 dust compensation has made me feel pretty lucky, which is quite a rare occurrence when playing Hearthstone, so yeah I can't complain.
Punished for not opening my golden classic pack and had around 12 classic packs waiting to be opened...
Wish I would have known I'd get this much dust for opening them earlier (I got all classic cards so it didn't make any sense to wait but oh well fook me I guess).
So is it safe now to open Classic packs?
Well... free 40 dust, I guess
I received 25000 dust. Very happy
I just got 1600 dust and headed over here to find out what was up. I'm a bit confused about what they consider a 'full refund'. I got Natalie Seline off the golden classic pack. Should I have gotten the dust equivalent of crafting her or the dust equivalent from disenchanting her?
That's quite the fuck-up lol
...although, I guess I still don't understand what the problem was. Weren't you supposed to be able to pull them? I didn't own High Inquisitor Whitemane before this.
no you were supposed to be able to pull only cards valid for classic mode. And Whitemane should be only craftable, so you lucked out I suppose
140 dust :P
Bought the nongolden bundle, got 7240 dust, hard to complain about that. I also opened them before the expansion knowing I wouldn't get HoF stuff and got ysera. really worked out for me!
