Got Dust? Well not if you disenchanted Kargal Battlescar today!
Kargal was effectively nerfed with today's patch since two of the cards he references, Far Watch Post, and Mor'shan Watch Post lost some health. Because of this, Blizzard will be opening him up for dust refunds later this week in a client hotfix and retroactively awarding anyone who disenchanted him after the patch the full dust value - just in case you accidentally pulled the trigger.
Exact timing is not known, but we expect Blizzard will issue an update once the hotfix goes out.
Quote From @PlayHearthstone In a hotfix later this week, Kargal Battlescar will become eligible for a full dust refund for 2 weeks. In the days following the hotfix, compensation will go out for players who dusted Kargal after the 20.0.2 patch notes were published.

It's live atm.
It does make some sense, considering Kargal cannot be played at all without the nerfed cards, and the nerfed cards totally suck now. But I wouldn't expect to see this kind of generosity very often where indirect nerfs are concerned.
It was probably a mistake to create such a tightly knit package of cards in the first place. They got away with it with C'Thun by making the enablers very mediocre and by giving C'Thun away for free. Now they are forced to give Kargal away for free, in a retroactive sort of way.
wait how did they nerv C'Thun? I completely forgot.
What I meant was, they got away with making a card so interdependent and didn't have to nerf it because the package overall was just very meh.
They didn't nerf C'Thun (and we are taking about Old Gods set C'Thun)
The stats for C'Thuns enablers were just not as good from the start as the watch towers were before the nerf
Though at least they could attack
Awesome move. After I low-rolled just 4 legendaries in 100 packs on release day, I opened him in golden from the season reward packs on 1st April. Means two legendaries of choice for me now :)
This was my free legendary. And just like someone else said i used it in a clunky deck that wasnt very good. But sometimes when I played him it was a decent swing. Still not gonna miss him when hes gone though, but I might keep the watch posts. For some reason my opponents think they do something.
They essentially loosely have taunt if they completely counter your current hand, I still think they were fine where they were but I understand that people don't like to play around anything :/
cool move and i'm happy because this is the most boring legendary in the history of hearthstone. got it in a pack and can exchange it for something actually useful.
still more interesting that Bru'kan who's just a spell damage minion.
A surprise to be sure but a welcomed one
That's actually quite a nice move considering that they are not at all obligated to do this since the Watch Posts are still playable
And here I thought I was being smart by not crafting him because I was sure Watch POsts were getting nerfed.
*Gets up to applaud*
Well played Blizzard!
What is going on? Something isn't right, does Bobby know about this?
Very welcome news.
On the flip side I think it's admittance that watch towers didn't really go as planned and that is disappointing as I thought they were really interesting. Clearly Far Watch Post is too strong with 4 health but not strong enough with 3.
We need a better term for cards that vaguely follow the format, "if this works, it's too powerful for the game." Cards like Sword of the Fallen are just strong. The mechanics are easily understood, and even after a nerf, it'll still be a strong card even if it's more balanced. But something like the Watch Towers or Deck of Lunacy are way harder to evaluate, but if they work, it's broken. It's why Tickatus is so controversial. He's not that good, but if he becomes good, it's not just a matter of a strong card shining in a particular meta (a lot of aggro cards fit this bill - remember when Nightblade briefly became meta? Or recently Worgen Infiltrator in Rogue), but of a specialized mechanic that is unfair if it becomes too consistent.
This seems... overly generous...?
hey, I’m not complaining though
I don't think I would disenchant him over this.
Well I already got Bru'kan in diamond and horde coin so he can go =)
good to see
